One of the nice things about living here is that you can't be jailed for that, not yet anyhow. Rather than throw in the towel, I'd rather stay and fight for the ideals our founding fathers laid down over 200 years ago. Real Americans fight for their rights, other "civilized" peoples settle for extra Vaseline. And by fight I mean get out there and do something about it. That is what being American is all about. Voting once every four years is not enough. If one wants to change policies in this country, they must be involved more than once every four years. The free healthcare thing might be nice, but even that is fraught with peril, as it takes forever to get things done sometimes. Plus, most European constitutions have no absolute guaratees of freedoms, and even have obsolete concepts like 'state religions'. That being said, I certainly wouldn't mind travelling for a bit.
