Ok, all kidding aside. Here's some house songs (new and old) I've played for hip-hop crowds that have gone over fairly well.

Afromedusa - Pasilda

Mambana - Felicidad

Malibu - Slave Guitar

Benny Benassi - Satisfaction, No Matter What You Do

There's plenty of others, but hip-hop heads are very picky about any house you try to shove down their throats.

I would suggest going to house music events - seems like you are pretty well out of the loop of current house music - not a cut on you but its obvious that you have little in the way of exposure to electronic dance music...other than myabe radio and other mainstream outlets....here go check this site out www.undergroundhouse.net and listen to some sets on the front page...I suggest you start off with the Honey Dijon Mix or anything by her or Dan X...very bump hip-hop influenced house much like I play...or if you are looking for mainstream music just browse satelitte records website under house. www.satelliterecords.com

hmm.. do what lyric said and go to a club that plays house and other forma of dance music.. and I don't mean DEEP because DEEP=CRAP!

Look around this forum for downloads of house sets and you will on your way.

Here is another note from a long time EDM DJ:

You will be lucky if the hip hop and ragga heads even know it is house music, and even luckier if they tell you to "Take that shit off"

One last thing. Be prepared to hear.. "Do you have any Hip Hop? I hate trance!"

Hip Hop blows. What else can you say about a type of "music" that Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz have suceeded in? They have less talent than Ashlee Simpson.

Play your music. Shove it down everyone's throat. Either they get it or they dont but they are better off for listening to some bangin house.

My boy DJ Nomad (CT & NYC) has that shit nailed down hard. He knows which house tracks will appeal to hip hop heads. Granted, like everyone on here is saying, it will be hard to do. PM me for his contact info and he'll set you in the right direction.

The one that makes me cringe the most is "I don't like techno"

Be-atch you've never even heard techno

Best advice I can give you is to get the hell out of that town. If they don't have a clue now, they never will. Aside from shooting them, there's not much else you can do.
