Guest pod
Just get an enclosure:http://www.orangemicro.com/fw800usb20hd.htmlAnd put your favorite HD in it. The one linked is an 800/USB 2.0 enclosure.

Guest pod
The thing I like about the enclosures though is that you can upgrade the drive if needed. Oh, and Linksys makes a nifty little Ethernet to USB 2.0 converter so you can make the drives into NAS devices.
Guest macboy
Ramon, these are the guys I trust:http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/firewire/Been using them for about 5 years for most of my mac needs. 8)
Guest trancepriest
If you ever decide to get an enclosure... make sure they work with Macs. My next door neighbor brought is USB2 enclosure over here but it didn't work on my Macs. I thought all those devices were plug and play... but guess not. In general I would stay away from Maxtor drives... any Maxtor drive... your Lacie decision seems like a good one. The Maxtor drives only have a year warranty... Seagate HD's come with 5 years Warranty.
