That was uncalled for... Get off DT's nuts....... You were not there and you don't know me. Mind your business. Leave that for people who really know me. I've been supporting this son of a bitch since way back in NY when he used to spin at Vinyl. So i see him at Metropolis this past Saturday, and I'm giving him his props for being such a badass DJ and also being one of my favorites. And he just looks at me like I'm an idiot. And shrugs his shoulders. Show some respect and appreciation to your fans, without us you would be nowhere. Hmmm. Are you sure you didnt ask him for a drink ticket like you always do? I had a very uncomfortable experience just getting into the venue. I had just woken up and was into making a night of it downtown. Then within an hour BAMM! I thought he wanted to sell me some, but NO, he wanted to know if I had some? The guy was knocking on my window! Then I saw a homeless guy practically shitting on the wall of the club on the side street! I get to the door and they politely say yes to allowing us to enter BUT I had to take my hat off ... That already tells me that Metropolis was on THUG ALERT!I politely take my hat off and enter. The place was not busy (5am ish) and I saw an awful fight break out and big security guards were dragging the guys out by the neck! This was RIGHT NEXT TO ME! (yes, I know it can happen anywhere) .... I moved away from the fight and told my friends "Let's get out of here" ...Then some girl politely came up and asked me if she can have a photo of me, I normally say yes, but I was not comfortable with my cap off, and the whole experience just to get in there was quite unpleasant. I was a bit uneasy, SORRY!!!!I don't remember you, unless you were the guy that was with her and was disappointed that I said no to the photo. Sorry if you feel offended. Sure, you go to their gigs, and buy their cd's, but they're not pointing a gun to your head to do it, you do it because you want to do it. You pay money and you get something fun in exchange. They're NOT in any way suppoosed to give you anything else than what you paid for.If the guy doesn want to talk to you or anything, he's in his right, same thing if he talks to you and is nice, basically they can do whatever they want.On DT, I've never apporached him although i've seen them a milion times, but a friend of mine did apporach him once and he was very nice. Some other time some friends cam from Panamá for WMC and saw him at Ultra where they proceeded to ask him for a pic, which he smilingly agreed to, and boy, were they in cloud nine after that...My point is, I don't want to meet my musical heroes, cause I don't want to shatter the image I have from them, I better admire them for their music, their personality is another issue, and they might be geniuses but assholes at the same time. [/quote']Yep, I spotted DT outside of Space once.....and I aprroached him and he was actually very sweet and talkative. He said he had to leave Space cause there was a guy that was driving him crazy. Now I know where ur coming from Rick, but you might want to stand back and think what condition you were in when this happened . Cause if my memory serves me correctly you have a tendency to talk waaaaaaaay too fast and sometimes people cant understand what ur are trying to say. IMO DT has been one of the most approachable DJs to date, well and of course for Tom Stephan, and Steve Lawler.Trust me you'd be surpirsed how approachable the Big named DJs are, its really the ones that are just coming up that tend to have a BIG HEAD :, not all of them!!!Like i said at the time he walked in i was almost 100%sober. Somebody that has to perform, and entertain and please an audience! They need to be comfortable in their surrounding enviroment in order to feel right, and play in spectacular fashion!Now, and Im not sticking up for Danny, BUT, they made him take his cap off, and just maybe he is very uncomfortable, and self conscious about being bald! Many men are! This could be enough to really make him not feel good at all, and adversely affect his performance!Quite frankly, the club should have escorted Danny into their place, and allowed him whatever makes him comfortable!
