Kamikaze1414779018 Posted February 10 Report Share Posted February 10 I am in tampa, well actually Clearwater for 2 weeks for work , abd I am going crazy without much to do besides working like 12 hours a day. So Saturday night a bunch of us are going out, but we have no clue where to go. There will be like 10-12 of us going . out, but If I need to branch off by myself to just hit a good EDM event I will do that also.Where should I go, that is not all 18 year olds and college kids.Name of specific places, with type of music, guest lists would be great.Any help is appreicated.I wish I could come over to Miami, but I only have off Saturday afternoon and Sunday, and no car. :-[ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I know it is not close to anythingThe DJ Three event looks good to me, but I think we are looking for something a little more upscale, a nice lounge with house music or something, maybe get some Sushi to eat. If we get a big enough group, we are going to just get a limo for the night.I guess I am looking something similar to Tantra, Jade, etc. but anything willl do Remember I am the heaviest into EDM, the others are not, so I need something that is maybe a little more general but still classy.I just don't want to go to the local bar and sit there and drinkIs there much of a "strip" or area where we can hit up a couple of places?ThanksBut I just might hit up the Hyde Park event later in the night, what time will it go till in the morning? GOOD EATS! lol... i pass that hotel twice a day to and from work... if you want the upscale, trendy, sushi, place to be seen type vibe.... then hit Jacksons on Harbor Island in Downtown Tampa tonite...... Fridays ONLYInternational Mall has a bunch of trendy bars and sushi places to eat as well... defo caters to the non EDM crowd....honestly though.... HPC really caters to ALL types.... yes Chris (Three) will be doing his tech thing in the main room but the venue really is split into 3 sections these days.... main room, cafe coutryard and vip/hip-hop room..... 3 seperate worlds w/ 3 totally diff. crowds... 813-254 CAFE for table reservations and/or limo reservations through Premier Limo. Best Sushi is town.... Water Sushi on Howard Ave. in Hyde Park (SoHo) ..impossible to get a table on Fri/Sat though.. ask for Leb (Houng)... tell him I sent you.... runner up: Samurai Blue in Ybor City.... Guest Satan Posted February 11 Report Share Posted February 11 the best partying in tampa is.........a car ride to miami away im afraid.unfortunately, the crowd there is rather young, and kinda raving on alcohol, so expect a fight or two pretty much wherever you go. There is a decent electronic music scene, but it will all shut down at 2 am.i think i hit up a place called amphitheatre once and a couple other spots whose names ive deleted from my mental hard drive.just my humble opinion, and no i dont hate Tampa.good luck. I know it is not close to anythingyou're right up the road from me, I live in Palm Harbor west on Tampa Road. But yeah Hyde Park Cafe is the more chill lounge with house music...the places at International Mall like Blue Martini are ok. I dont recommend Amphitheater, but there are a few more on 7th ave...Centro Ybor has a decent sushi bar. There is the club Floyds inside the Casino. Everything in Tampa is open until 3. Guest skywalker01 Posted February 11 Report Share Posted February 11 you won't be disappointed with HPC. i'm guessing it will have the vibe you are seeking. just hang out in the courtyard area if you don't want the music blaring. comfortable listening level; you will be able to carry on a conversation and your friends (who aren't into edm) will be able to tune it out. stay away from ybor city, especially feb. 11. night of the annual gasparilla night parade. unless you like massive crowds and the possibility of a good fight with one of our local rednecks/ losers/ thugs. It looks like there will be around 10 of us, and more women than men also, but some don't like paying cover. There is 17 of us. We are all here on a business trip and seminar and ready to let loose for one night since we have been working like 12 hour days for the past week, and have to do it again next week also. So Saturday night is our one night to party.We willl be spending plenty of money on alcolohol and food for sure, just a few of us spent $167 last night for the drinks at dinnerIf you can, do anything for us, that is great. I am now awake. There was 14 of in all, and everyone had a great time, some more than others ( a few people realy really drunk), but thats why I am always the party planner. I make sure everyone is having a blastThank You everyone for the suggestions. The service at both places was great, will definetly return to both places when I come back to Tampa. Then everyone is like, LETS GO TO THIS AFTERPARTYY WOOHOOOOO, when we get there is a DONATION for cover so i give $2 and they are like Its $10 minimun.... I thought you said it was a donation, and shes like yeah it is, but its open bar... and im like COOL! No problem!I go to the bar, i said let me get a vodka/rebull.. Bartender says "No Redbull". So im like "just give me cranberry" so i give her $1 tip and she says "You need to make a donation" hehehehheheheh Then we got kicked out...
