Toyota creating alcohol detection system

TOKYO - Toyota Motor Corp. is developing a fail-safe system for cars that detects drunken drivers and automatically shuts the vehicle down if sensors pick up signs of excessive alcohol consumption, a news report said Wednesday.

I think it is just something else car makers are adding to cars so that when it breaks and your car doesnt start cus it thinks you are drunk you have to take it to the dealer to get fixed. I really hate all these computer cars.

that's what dealer warranties are good for. :P

and if you take it to the right place they will even give you a loaner till your car is fixed.

I think I would shoot any mechanic who tells me that my car won't start because it thinks that I'm drunk, either that or I would tell him that my credit card denied because it thinks that he's a crook.
