Job first, play comes second. We will be sure to tell ya how awesome it was. ;D

Fuck that! What's the point of life, to toil your days away as a wage slave? I don't think so.

Dave, tell this fucker you charge octuple-time for that week or he can sod off. Jobs are easy to come by, life is not.

Fly to Paris to see basically a show of lights, with two guys dressed as robots (who may even be Jacques Chirac and Tony Blair for all we know), pretending to be playing live musica when for all we know they could be just playing solitaire in their laptops while a prerecorded cd is playing?

Yeah, screw WMC... ::)

Let see. He cant go to WMC and I suggested an alternative in which, you fly to Paris and see a show that people cryed about how good it was.... Yeah it is worth it... You obviously did not see the show or are from another planet were musical acts make people cry from how good they are. I don't know about you but how many dj's make people cry from how good their show is?????? :-)

Hmm, I saw them at Bang 3 months ago, and I was surrounded by thousands of peple, and I did not see a single person cry. Sorry if I sounded too harsh, but IMO, if I was to replace WMC for something, maybe I'd suggest going to Ibiza.

Daft Punk were good, but at the end of the day, performance wise it was jsut nothing to write home about. Sorry if I'm gonna see a dj is one thing, but to go and listen to a live act, they just didn;t cut it for me. The lights were the thing that stole their show, not their music.

Sure, lots of people got taken by the nostalgia and listening to all of the hits that hvae been part of our lives for so long, but those hits were so deconstructed, I didn't actually enjoy them, and to see them?? As i said before, it could have been two hot dog vendors dressed up as robots watching porn on a latptop and nobody would have been able to tell the difference

All I know about daft punk's performance is that if you went on ther myspace after their show you would have sworn that people had a religious out of body experience. Also, I went to tampa a couple months after bang to hear Loco Dice and radom strangers up their were still bringing it up and talking about how good it was. Like I said, it was just a suggestion. Ibiza would be a nice alternative to WMC also.

You said, "The lights were the thing that stole their show, not their music". IMO their songs are very cheesy, but for their performance they made those chessy songs sound really really good. That plus the lights, i thought they had a great show. Hands down better than going to space on any given night.. ;D

Sorry, I couldn't help myself - it's all in good fun.

But I did want to say that I tend to be a bit cynical at times myself, but I was totally floored after Daft Punk at Bang. That doesn't happen to me often, and in over 15 years of live acts, DJ's and "electronica" I can honestly say my jaw has only dropped twice. I asked around after Bang to find out if they are really live and "how do we know who is in there?" and one of the people had actually met them and another shot professional footage for both Coachella and Bang. From what I was told, they are in there and they are live. If they weren't, I think there would be people out there who had something or other to do with the production leaking it out. Most humans have big mouths and aren't very good at keeping secrets after all, right? ;)

Daft Punk was one of the best electronic sets I've ever seen even though I didn't know alot of those songs were theirs to begin with. I thought it was great but I wouldn't be happy missing all of conference to fly to France and just see them. I would need another event like DEMF, Ibiza, or Love Parade to compare. Baby don't worry, I am gonna go ahead with plans and hopefully you can quit right before or you'll be free by then. It's not like you weren't gonna look for another job after this anyway. :-* :-* Also, I agree with Nicole about Daft Punk's debate, people do have big mouths and we really shouldn't be that cynical, it isn't sexy. :P

ROTFLMAO...... look at what gets started when you bash on an artist..... LOL

My intetions when I posted my Daft punk comment, was to give an alternative since he couldn'y make it to WMC anyway.

I think the point of this thread now is that some people like Daft Punk, some people like WMC, and some people like Space. All I was suggesting was an alternate trip. I will admit WMC does not compare to any single act. But I figured I would give my opinion. Josh suggested Ibiza... That would be an awesome place to go also. No hard feelings...

Speaking of WMC... and can't wait..... ;D :o

If you don't end up coming I'm gonna end up having to pick up "stray ho bags" to sell my ticket to. >:(

This sounds hot to me. Does it sound hot to anyone else?

It's got a story but not really "hot". It's actually the first time we ever went to Space. I rounded up Dave, my English friend Robert, and myself for New Year's Eve (2001). Since we had never been my friend was worried about not having a chick with him in order to get in. I had to convince him it would be fine and that if worse came to worse we would just "pick up a stray ho bag" in line and pretend like she was with him. Then I decided, I could also just hang on both of them and be "the stray ho bag". Nevertheless, Robert worried for no reason and we had a blast at Space for the 1st time. :D
