Guest pod
1080p Bling Blong, not i. Does it have HDMI inputs? If so, use that to hook up your box from Comcast if it supports it.
Guest ILLMATIC
I bought the Xbox 360 HD player this week. What a difference it makes. I compared Batman Begins on DVD and HD DVD, it’s like night and day. I suggest all Xbox and HD TV owners pick one up. You can’t go wrong for 200 bucks. Guest pod
yep it has 2 hdmi inputs...... yeah that box im getting next sat will be that kind......Yeah, hook up your box via HDMI, and your DVD player via HDMI too if it supports it. If your DVD player supports HDMI, it will upscale reasonably well.

Well it’s going to be a while. Trust me I want to do the same but I am not going to spend 600 bucks on the PS3 right now. Just not worth it. BTW have you finally signed on for Xbox live?? If your DVD player supports HDMI, it will upscale reasonably well. Don't think for a second Comcast is going to just give you an HDMI cable. Get your wallet out buddy. You know the fucked up part about the whole thing? I just switched back to Direct TV. When I had Dish Network, the HD cable that ran from your box to your TV was called a DTI cable. Somewhere in between 2 years ago and today they switched to HDMI. My TV is 4 years old and does not have the HDMI output so now I'm forced to go back to component cables. I honestly can't say that I see much of a difference in the picture between using component cables and DTI. so why should I think I'll see a difference with the HDMI cable? DO NOT BUY HDMI CABLES FROM A RETAIL STOREuse http://www.monoprice.comthe cheapest cable at best buy is like $80 bux when you can get one for under 20 and shaun i think you mean DVI and not DTI. You can get an HDMI to DVI converter if your tv doesnt have HDMI.

I meant DVI, but typed DTI because I type it so often....as in debt-to-income ratio. (I'm a comercial banker for SunTrust) LOL!
Guest swirlundergrounder
ok so figured it outi need a HDTV reciever from Comcast have to pick it up next saturday since store not open on sundays.so ill have to deal for a week more with SDTV.. $5 more a month for the new reciever.SHWEETTTT!!!!!!!!!!You also need to make sure that you get an HDMI to HDMI cable ($30) to hook it up. I got this one back in November and I'm totally happy with it. It's a 42inch DLP HDTV. It doesn't look that big from a far but when you sit 5 to 9 feet away from it, it looks a lot bigger. Make sure when you go to comcast that you press them for the HD box. They will always tell you that they are out of stock when they are not. Make sure you get a new one also from them. Theywill say they don't have brand new boxes when they really do. Make sure your TV has an HDMI input other wise you will need to get a DVI adapter or use a 'component to component' cable. HDMI is better though. And if you want a nice HD DVD player, Costco has a nice Sony one with progressive scan and shit for around $100.
