Guest coach
You just post these to annoy me, don't you. Funny how he liked Cocaine Cowboys, though.
Guest pod
He's hit or miss, but this one is spot-on. Miami movies never get it right. A friend of mine and I had a discussion about this, but the best Miami documentary thus far has been by Anthony Bourdain. He went to Hialeah, Opa-Locka, etc. The only Miami Beach scene was at his hotel. In other words, the "real Miami". The real Miami fascinates me. The Beach is "done" in my book. Clubs, condos, tourists, rinse and repeat. It's fun, but still.People forget there's a whole county of working people, white, black, Hispanic, Asian, etc. The beach is only a small, small part of that. I love the beach, but my persistent irk over the past ten years has been the fact that it's so insular. Having a community is good, but not at the expense of forgetting there's a whole wide world out there with their own hopes, problems, and dreams. I honestly don't see this huge amount of racism in his posts. He's intolerant, but not out and out Klansman-racist.
Guest endymion
"Biscayne Bay is often balled the Bay, but actually I would say 50% of the people here couldn’t tell you what that body of water between Miami and Miami Beach is."Man that is so true. As I head out to spend the afternoon on The Bay...
Guest pod
Most people around here would have a hard time identifying that huge body of water with the sharks in it to the east too.
