Dude, I don't know anymore, since I started listening to his full catalog, there is so many gems, that I can't say which is truly my favorite, but I think if you listen to the words in Crush it puts it at my current #1.

What's their latest release?

Dave did Stand Up in 05 which had the song American Baby, however DMB puts out like 23904752349857 live albums a year.. The best being Live from Red Rocks in 1995, which is a classic. There is a distinction between live albums and Live Trax series. If you are new to DMB, start off with The Best of What's Around, which is their 1st compilation album. Some live some album versions chosen by the fans. DMB also lets anyone record their concerts.I would say Live from Red Rocks is their most famous CD.

If you want their acoustic stuff, he did live at Luther College with Tim Reynolds which is so good. See below.

Disc one

1. "One Sweet World" – 5:43

2. "#41" – 5:37

3. "Tripping Billies" – 5:49

4. "Jimi Thing" » "What Will Become of Me?" – 8:13

5. "Satellite" – 4:39

6. "Crash into Me" – 5:33

7. "Deed Is Done" (Matthews, Reynolds) – 4:51

8. "Lover Lay Down" – 5:33

9. "What Would You Say" – 5:06

10. "Minarets" – 7:00

11. "Cry Freedom" – 5:39

12. "Dancing Nancies" – 7:15

[edit] Disc two

1. "Typical Situation" – 7:02

2. "Stream" (Reynolds) – 5:49

3. "Warehouse" – 9:17

4. "Christmas Song" – 5:24

5. "Seek Up" – 7:43

6. "Say Goodbye" – 5:19

7. "Ants Marching" – 5:26

red rocks is a good show but it's a bit dated. the chicago and central park shows are a bit more current. dave and tim just came out w/ a new live acoustic... i think it's at radio city music hall. it's a good set list.

and yeah, they do a cover of watchtower which they play the shit out of.

DMB has been one of my favorite bands for 13 years and i've seen them 18 times but they could be a little more creative w/ the setlist. they have songs that barely get played, ever; Minarets, the Maker, lover lay down, true reflections, typical situation, and pay for what you get, just to name a few.

the name of the first album is under the table and dreaming not best of whats around.

Totally agree and damn, we really saw them that many times.. Cool to know there's a new acoustic out but I kinda feel like listening to the Red Rocks now since I have it. :-\
