Lucienne Boyer-Parlez Moi D'amour

The Dave Brubeck Quartet-Take 5

Thom Yorke-A Rat's Nest

Nine Inch Nails-Piggy

Minilogue-Hitchhiker's Choice

Brett Johnson-Sex With Machines

Format B-69 Bronson Road

Shonky-Olympia

Todd Blodine-Kling Klong

LSG-I'm Not Existing (Oliver Lieb Main Mix)

Rekorder-Rekorder 9.2

Umek-Print This Story

Robert Babicz-Sin (Gui Borato mix)

Rekorder-Rekorder 8.2

Tommy 4 Seven-Smoke (DJ FEX mix)

Ben Klock-Warszawa

Joel Mull-Klangfarben

Gui Borato-Royal House (De Stijl mix)

Luciano Pizzola-Public House

Dan Berkson-Circuits

Solomon-Jungle River Cruise

Selway-Dream Stealer (Joel Mull)

A little bit about the first 5 tracks.....

The intro is from Reservoire Dogs and is taken from when the guys are having coffee in the morning and Terentino's character is explaining what Madonna's "Like A Virgin" is all about. I think there's better dialogues in that movie, but that particula one set things up nicely for Lucienne Boyer's "Parle Moi D'Amour, which is just a beautiful, beautiful song by the famous French singer, who was born August 18, 1903 and died December 6, 1983. This song was recorded around some time around 1933 (take a few years actually) for Columbia Records of France. I like how at first, you have Tarantino talking about some girl who'se a fuck machine and then you have this song that's delicate and fragile and translates to "Talk To Me About Love."

Take 5, by the Dave Brubeck Quartet is a very, very famous jazz song which got it's name from the fact that it took 5 takes to record due to the complicated rhythms in it.

Thom Yorke's "A Rat's Next." I don't actually know a lot about this track...but it's a meloncholic track full of somber phrases and descriptions.

Nine Inch Nails-Piggy This track is from The Downward Spiral. I've been digging NIN lately. I liked them a while back when I was really young..then kind of didn't really understand where Reznor was coming from. Now I've learned a thing or two...and I think he's a genius and his lyrics are some of the most intuitive and observant that I've ever read.

After this track, it's just a mix of techno and tech-house. I think my turntable phase shifts because on the two mixes I did using vynil, the mixes aren't really that smooth. Sorry about that.

Thanks for all the above sets but especially for this one because I like the fact that he explains his track placement and why he chose to use them in his set. That's also my favorite monologue in Reservoir Dogs. ;)

george k and paolo mojo crushed ibiza in dc last night. tacky name, but amazing club-def up there with space. george played the perfect opening set, then paolo came on with his magic. all the lights were turned on in the club for the last 10 minutes, and the entire club was cheering to his last few songs. video to come soon. simply amazing

will post more sets of george k as they come. him and ali played the after party for virgin fest last sunday, and my what a grimey night. i love how ali has broken away a bit for the duo and is slowly going into more underground/noncommercial music, and people are loving it up here

Lovin' how this set starts off so far.. Something different with beautiful music and of course "hence, like a virgin.." too. :)
