Erock2000
Greetings from the New American City!Manhattan's melodrama has made me decide to take a closer look at Chicagoland, the birthplace of House. Since I've never been there, I hope someone can tell me about what you all have to offer for someone whose wardrobe is pure YMLA, BC Ethic, D&G, GianfrancoFerre, CK Calvin Klein, etc., who NEVER touches so much as a cigarette (much less E) and prefers the more glamoruos dance clubs above the "drink & drown" pubs any day of the week.To give you an idea, here's what we have that I like:WISH http://www.wishnightclub.com THE HUMIDOR http://www.thehumidor.org VELVET TANGO ROOM http://www.velvettangoroom.com THE MERCURY LOUNGE http://www.themercurylounge.com BOTTOMS UP BREWPUB http://www.bottomsupofcleveland.com and soonFUNKY BUDDHA http://www.funkybuddhabar.com ------------------Erick Adam "E-rock" Sanders
back2basics
Your wardrobe is one thing, but what kind of music if at all do you want? The FunkyBhudda i think started here, run by a guy called Mark. It's more of a lounge than a club but it's ok.There are loads of society parties around chi-town so if that your bag dont worry. Ther are a few places but it sound to me like wicker park is your kind of place. Cool bars great music for a non drug crowd. Mad Bar is good, they have a web site somewhere.Theres a place where all the models go, just carn't remember the name, maybe somebody else can remember?Mail me on davids909@hotmail.com if you want more info.------------------I want to go out blazing not fade away.I can resist anything but temptation. kimberlyco
Check out www.metromix.com It gives you choices of what kind of place you want then gives results about the bars here. I think you are looking for a place like fuse, the Drink, Fifth Floor, The funky budda lounge, White Star (which is new), Circus, definitally Zentra, or Transit. They are the "higher" class bars. or the not so "I am on E" clubs. Stay away from Crobar if that isn't what you want! ------------------"Perhaps if the world had been a little more fair, a little more tolerable, a little more intelligent, understanding, that if you don't treat people with respect, with equality, with dignity, then you create a world of chaos and confusion where every single human being is the LOOSER. Perhaps if the world was kinder then maybe some of our greatest voices would still be with us today."
