Hello

For the past year, we have been involved in talks with the City of Chicago

on behalf of the DJ community in an attempt to communicate to them that DJ

Culture and Electronic Music is a positive thing, and has a positive impact

on the lives of many people in this city ranging from the DJ's, artists,

musicians, record companies, distributors, stores, agents, promoters, clubs,

technicians, designers, journalists and fans.

We are pleased to announce that we have made some progress, and have been

granted permission by the City, to present a "trial" event this Saturday,

May 12 adjacent to the Chicago Park District Skate Park which is located at

31st Street and Lakeshore Drive.

THIS IS A FREE EVENT!!! IN A CITY PARK!!! IN CHICAGO!!!

Due to the concerns of the Chicago Police Department, we are only allowed to

promote this event via the internet and flyers. IF YOU CAN HELP SPREAD THE

WORD, PLEASE DO. But, also please stress to EVERYONE the importance of this

event and the importance of everyone acting responsibly!!!

This is our opportunity to put a different face on our scene than that which

has been portrayed by the media and law enforcement.

Thanks, and please come show your support for DJ Culture and the Electronic

Music scene in Chicago.

For more information, please contact djinc@mac.com.

Thank you.

Nice!! I will be checking that out and putting a 'different face on our scene than that which has been portrayed by the media and law enforcement.'

It's important don't want the Twilo issue happening here.

It's good that the Chicago music awards honered Frankie Knuckles at least the recognise he represents.

Want to meet up for it Marcel??
