I wish I were just stuck at work..I've lagged so far in my class that I have to finish 21/2 long ass projects by sunday(last class)!!! I think I'm going to have to spend some quality "work" time tomorrow on them (hehe, my boss is going to be outta town).

Hey, don't even worry about Sunday..it happens to all of us!!! Thats funny with Tracy's story...gotta check with Jess with hers too!!

Will do! But, would you like to come to Sandra Collins this Sat (it won't hurt to give Velvet Nation a break once in a while, ya know ). Security at 5 is non-existant...but you do have to be a "bit" dressy (ie, no jeans and sneakers). Sandra Collins is one of the biggest women DJs in the nation if not the world.

I think there's even a meet-up...

Though I would love to take a break from my Velvet nights, I already had after Velvet party plans for this Saturday, but I'm certainly ready to venture out to 5 at some point...

I'm so spoiled by going to Nation that I dont' know how to "dress" up to go out anymore...I'm so used to rolling in jeans and tanktops! :-)

BTW- I, too, am stuck at work today going through caffeine withdrawal and suffering through sleep deprivation! :-) Went to Badlands last night...and though I'm embarrassed to admit it, for a Tuesday night, it's free, and the lights are awesome...and the music has it's moments...played a lot of house music last night...I need some weeknight places to occupy my life...suggestions???

You can wear tank-tops to 5 (and I might be wrong...maybe you can wear jeans there too, not too sure though), but I think sneakers is pushing it too much. Yeah, I hate it too...I always need my cargos (for all the stuff I have), and every time I go to 5 I'm afraid they'll kick me out for that.

Badlands? Where is that, what sort of scene is it? I heard there's a new club called Space that just opened up (used to be Enigma?).

Hmm...not much in terms of clubbing on weeknights...I heard State of the Union has a rave party on Monday nights, Zei club (Cloud 9 are the promoters) has one on Thursdays, and there's also Platinum on Thurs. All in all pretty weak, since Mango shut down for the winter. If you're up for drinking we usually go out either Wed or Thurs or both nights!

Badlands is a hole in the wall...by the P Street Beach...5 and Zei pretty much closed Badlands down on Wednesday and Friday...but Tuesday is free and Thursday is free with college ID...there is also no security, and I think the show is better at Badlands than at Velvet or Mango.

Rolling takes so much effort...I have to have pockets!!! :-)

I'm definately up for a drinking night out on the town on a Wednesday or Thursday. Are there just 5 of us in DC on this message board!?!?
