Okay, so I'm venturing to BUZZ for the first time tonight...after months of enjoying NATION on Saturday nights at Velvet. I have to say that I'm very excited!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be wearing pigtails and body jewlrey on my forehead...

AFTER HOURS- BIG THUMBS UP!!!!!!! If you want to have fun at an "after hours", having one at someone's apartment/house is definately a great way to wind down froma night of partying. It's fun to entertain others at the party with either your deliriously tired jabber, cracked out humor, or new dance moves that you picked up at the club. If you go to these parties for drugs, at least you are in a safe environment. We usually stay until mid-afternoon, totally wasting Sunday...

I know exactly what you mean...hence, my theme song during the month of December was "The chemicals between us" by BUSH. Not exactly club music, but when I heard the words...the chemicals between us, lieing in this bed....the chemicals displaced, there is no lonelier state, than lieing in this bed... The best way to get out of that slump is do normal things with your close friends...my special x-buddy and I have spent the past few weeks partying really hard, but also spending good quality time completely sober to remind ourselves that we don't have to be rolling out of our mind to feel connected. It's the great irony of E!

The first time I rolled, I took a Pisces, and though I have had much better since, that magical night, I thought I was in heaven! Amazing! But keep in mind, it was my first time... :-)

Everything on E is fake... I've lost my best friend in DC to this "truth serum"...it seems that now we can only have fun when we are rollin'.

Okay, so this past Sunday, after yet another insane after party, my friends and I were too wired to think about sleeping, yet couldn't think of anything exactly fitting to do...so in an attempt to solve the "day after" problem, I'm fielding suggestions for wild and crazy or maybe just calm, but fun... I think it's the people you are with, definately. I have had good rolls but had shitty circumstances and it just doesn't compare to the times when I was with my best friends...You have to do it with someone you know you can trust and who wants to be with you as much as you want to be with them...then it's a special experience. WAIT- then comes the downfall..spending time with that person when you're not rolling becomes not as fun and you just end up sad all the time like me. That's the downfall of Saturday night fun...

I'm all for it! Let's try Wednesday of next week because I leave for Mississippi on Thursday .

My recent adventures into the shady world of drugs has been exciting and scary. When I think about all the things I said I would never do, I have to laugh at myself because I'm extremely happy now,and my world hasn't been destroyed by occasional crazy ecstasy weekend fun. Having said that, the people I care the most about sometimes scare me, most recently at a weekend afterparty where one of my best friends who is really tiny, did K, E, Pot, Speed, Crystal, G, and Ether...the latter was the really bizarre one...what do you guys know about ether? mixing?

Rolling just makes you all mushy and happy to be with the people you love. Rolling doesn't make me "feel the love" with people I don't know, but it definately makes me want to be all sweet and mushy. My friends who claim they can't remember what they do are usually f*cked up on something else at the same time.

Well, this was the (not at the time) funniest thing my best friend said to me while rolling one night... At Velvet, my friend I always roll with was propositioned on the dance floor about 5:00 am when I was about to start throwing up (good pill) and on the verge of hallucinating so I was ready to go...the words out of his mouth "He's not better than you, I just want to go fuck him"... go figure. Makes for a great story now! :-)

Badlands is a hole in the wall...by the P Street Beach...5 and Zei pretty much closed Badlands down on Wednesday and Friday...but Tuesday is free and Thursday is free with college ID...there is also no security, and I think the show is better at Badlands than at Velvet or Mango. Rolling takes so much effort...I have to have pockets!!! :-) I'm definately up for a drinking night out on the town on a Wednesday or Thursday. Are there just 5 of us in DC on this message board!?!?

Though I would love to take a break from my Velvet nights, I already had after Velvet party plans for this Saturday, but I'm certainly ready to venture out to 5 at some point... I'm so spoiled by going to Nation that I dont' know how to "dress" up to go out anymore...I'm so used to rolling in jeans and tanktops! :-) BTW- I, too, am stuck at work today going through caffeine withdrawal and suffering through sleep deprivation! :-) Went to Badlands last night...and though I'm embarrassed to admit it, for a Tuesday night, it's free, and the lights are awesome...and the music has it's moments...played a lot of house music last night...I need some weeknight places to occupy my life...suggestions???

Raver-mania... Cover is $8 before 11:00 and $12 after, if its a normal night...Big parties are 10 and 15.

I understand your concern about the music, and the two rooms differ greatly...the small room (blue room) is more happy gay music (which I refer to as Gay Bar Car music), and the main hall is more house oriented, though there are mixes of happy gay music like Zombie Nation and such...I don't know if you roll or not, but if so, Velvet is really really inviting. There is next to no security at Nation...I was searched at Mango for Paul Van Dyk, and was shocked because I go every Saturday night, and have never even been asked to take anything out of my pockets. the only security, SOMETIMES, is in the bathroom...but the bathrooms are unisex on Saturday so you can imagine what goes on there... I definately want to do the meet up thing!
