Sosultan, here's the Buzz definition:::

""Little" Louie Vega's dance legend began as a teenager in the eighties, spinning New York freestyle at the Devil's Nest, a club considered to be the birthplace of that sound. After playing to 4000-capacity crowds in the later years of Studio 54, Louie began what would become an unending run of successful collaborations, working with singer Marc Anthony and recording tracks with Todd Terry. He ultimately joined with Barbara Tucker in the mid-'90s to found the Underground Network party at New York's Sound Factory Bar. With a sweet and driving mix of '70s and '80s house "classics," Louie laid the musical groundwork for a new generation of music fans and makers, who valued the history and sentiment of the original Paradise Garage, finding spiritual and acrobatic release in its music. In 1997, at the suggestion of Talkin' Loud head Gilles Peterson, "Little" Louie and Masters At Work partner Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez, made an international sensation of their Nuyorican Soul project, blending Latin, jazz, hip-hop, funk and disco influences. Now a fixture at Manhattan's house club headquarters, Vinyl, Louie oversees the weekly Dance Ritual and seasonal Sunset Ritual parties.

A jack of all and master of many could be Erick Morillo's motto. Morillo is a live wire with the drive of Ferrari, the chutzpah of a patent medicine salesperson and the charm of a beetle. He can play a bit, too. As a producer, he has churned out tracks under a bewildering array of pseudonyms (RAW, Smooth Touch, RBM, Deep Soul, Club Ultimate and Li'l Mo Ying Yang to name but some). As a DJ, he has played the world over from his base in Jersey, to Ibiza, Greece and beyond. Then there is his coveted residency at Ministry of Sound, the first American to secure this spot since Tony Humphries back in 1992; and, for whom, he has also just completed an Erick Morillo mixed compilation. For good measures he's also remixed Crystal Waters, Jocelyn Brown and Basement Jaxx. And then, of course, there's a small matter of one of the biggest selling dance acts of all time. Reel 2 Reel. Yep, Erick Morillo is a busy guy."

NB there are no advance tickets for this, so get there early if you're going. raver kids stay at home - this one's for us.. wink.gif
