clubber2000
Scanned this in from a FAX sent to the Daily News so it may have typos:ROAD RECOVERY - (a non-profit organization) based in New York City whose non-preaching mission is to inform young people about the hazards of dnigIalcohol abuse and the benefits of a substance free existence through music industry professionals whose lives have been directiy affected by substance abuse, was invited to participate in Tuesday (May 16) Tear Sheet Magazine and in 2 it media’s Kaleidoscope Fashion and Music Extravaganza.ROAD RECOVERY was on-hand to debut their NEW T-Shirt line, dlstnbute printed rnatenals, promo items and receive a portion of the nighrs proceeds to further ROAD RECOVERY’s education programs for NYC youth. Just prior to doors operlig at 8:00pm, around 7:50PM club.: owner Steve Lewis, who according to the event organizers, failed to deliver key production needs he contractually agreed to provide for the event began flipping out! Mr. Lewis when confronted by event organizer AMY BALSAM (in 2 ft media) responded by screaming while walking through the dub verbally threatening everyone involved in the event if they did not vacate the premises immediately. The ROAD RECOVERY staff and models were threatened physical harm if they did not get the F_CK out of the building by Mr. Lewis as he raced through the club cursing at the top of his lungs telling his staff to start ‘F..CKING” kicking people out the door if they don’t leave immediately. The ROAD RECOVERY staff pleaded with Mr. Lewis and his staff to allow them the chance to pack-up as ne raged terror and fear against everyone in his path.A sad ending to an event that would have provided not only needed funding for this grss roots non-profit organization, but an opportunity for incredible media coverage and further exposure of ROAD RECOVERY’s work with young people in our community.------------------- Clubber2000
