tonyv
Does it seem like the Olympics are not as popular as in years past? ------------------"Smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks."
lafera1
I would have to give you a yes to that question. Other networks are actually trying to sway people away from the olympics. Have you seen the UPN add's about the "comedy games" it's something like that. THey need to show more baseball.hehehe peace, steph ------------------

Guest crystalmethodny
Its kind of a shame...I think sport like that helps bring the world together, and its just the plain out truth. As for the US Male Public, they're all watching the Rock smackdown The Undertaker or something.------------------"We're going to build things up slowly... are you with me? tonyv
Could it be all the Info. we have now a days like cable, satellite tv,and the internet just too many thing to watch. ------------------"Smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks." Pershoot
you know that might play a part in it...since we have so many alternatives...why should TV care to bombard us with olympic coverage...one can also argue that by TV not doing that...they (free tv) may be losing tbeir popularity due to such a stunt...because TV, believe it or not..shapes each and every one of our lives.... joeydollaz
i havent watched a single event .. i think the winter game are a lil more interesting ( for me anyway ) i'd rather watch snowboarding or bobsled than sinc. swimming or high jump .. down with the summer games .. maybe the rise of the x-games will destroy the olympics ------------------*************************lets go jets ..... *************************
boa_boy
Sydney is just un-fucking-believable at the moment, the ticket sales are record breaking, and the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, the parties have been huge, and the spectacle is second to none, everything is sold out......and this afternoon I have good seats to see the Dream Team play so I'm really psyched In the US the reason why the Olympics seem diluted is that you can get all the results live on cable and the web, whereas NBC are televising on delay. Also the events that Americans are big on are on next week (Track and Field for example)......we've got free to air 24-7 coverage of the olympics and a TV in the office in any case so it's all good down here ------------------..................coming soon to a dancefloor near you------------------> boa_boy@yahoo.com
