If 90% of the crowd is big men with their shirts off (like Twilo on a Saturday night), then it's probably an "alternative" night. Most bouncers will warn you at the door if it's a big gay night. You can also look up club listings in magazines like Time Out New York, or even on this website - they usually will tell you who goes where on what night. Hope this helps. If you arent comfortable with certain situations. . it would be wise to check it out a few days in advace so you can make alternate plans just in case.
