Whether it's tech-house, prog-house, etc. depends upon what kind of sounds/melodies are on top of those beats. Slower more vocal based house tends to be NY House. Lots of beeps and little melody tends to be tech-house and on and on....Plastikman was definitely rocking tech-house Fri. night. Tenaglia tends toward a deeper/NY house. Carl Cox resides between tech-house and prog-house depending on his mood.Like every kind of music, there are no clear definitions, but that should help.
