deanna11
for extracting off an audio CD to your HDD, and then maybe writing onto a CD again, would you extract to wav or mp3 files? (does it make a difference, really?) and what kbps do you use?------------------"real fucking high"
noiseboy
if you have the room, i usually go to .wav, then burn, then delete. . . .mp3 compression is icky. . . and it's no good for mixed DJ albums because it creates space (silence) before and after each track. . . ------------------no bullshit, no drama, just pimpin' since 1976. . . scorpio876
I've got to agree. Keep them in .wav, more importantly since it keeps it completely idential to the original, like a photo. If you put it to mp3, no matter what the bitrate, it loses a little bit of quality before going back to the CD. But, if you have to keep it in mp3, make it at least 160kbps, and the higher the better.
