lexicon6
i went to SF last fri w/ three guys. they have this theory about "clones", that most guys nowadays all look pretty much the same: wife beaters, spiky hair, tattoos in the same place (or random tattoos just to have one). personally i don't see anything wrong w/ that style cuz it's just a form of expression & u can only be original to a point w/out being eccentric. what do u guys think about this? wombat
I pesonally do have a problem w/ thier style because it's obviously not a form of expression it's a form of conformity and mediocracy and it's funny to me to think that these cats may think that they are being original when they look and possibly try to act like the chump next to them. And just curious, what's your definition of eccentric?------------------
rachel1997
some people overdo it on the spikey hair and look like a cactus (sp?) some people look really good. but don't overdo it! ewww!------------------

ANYWAY, with spikey hair you have way too much gel and spray to do that.BlueAngel------------------“The love we give away is the only love we keep.” - Elbert Hubbard
deanna11
i think, who cares. i dress much like a lot of people. i'm conformist and i don't give a fuck. i'm sick of people who make all these antithetical efforts to be "original" and "unique". they're annoying and stupid and, i think, the ones most concerned with what people think. they can take their originality and stick it up their ass sidewayslexicon6, i agree with you. conformity isn't necessarily a bad thing. it's bad when people stop thinking for themselves, but if some style of clothing looks good on a lot of people, kewl
lexicon6
i meant to say trying too hard to be "noticed" as different, but eccentric came to mind.

I don't have to tell you guys this. I'm no expert on socio pressence I'm just commenting on the original subject of "clones" and the lack of individuality. And deanna11 I agree, the problem is that it's bad when people stop thinking for themselves, this is the only point I'm trying to make. ------------------
