if you go to PVD parties...

Recommended Posts

do you actually go to hear PVD trainwreck his CD?

i go because everyone i know goes on those nights (which probably validates my presence as much as any music-unappreciative jerk who takes up precious space). if i could, i'd make all my friends go for Nick Warren and Sander Kleinenberg

i do like some PVD, but he's not the reason i bother with overcrowded parties

Why the negativity? Remember, a lot of music is about getting educated, and to these people, PVD is light years better, than, say Mel C's 'I turn to you'. [i kind of like his new harder sound, actually] Look, we were all there once, and if they're in any way serious about the music, in time they'll learn.

BTW, do you know when Sander's NU Breed 4 is released?

pvd has a new, harder sound?

You're delirious... you don't have a clue what you're talking about... in fact you shouldn't be talking at all... go back to bed willya.

uhm, are you talking about out there and back, in comparison to seven ways or what? or is there a new album out that i don't know about? doesn't really sound "hard", i don't think

in mix mag (i think?) there's a cover interview with PVD. it's funny; one of his highlighted quotes says something about how he hates his music to be considered trance. he considers it techno. in addition, he hates cheesy music cwm1.gif

but yeah, i'm going to take your advice, ezdreamer, and put my sick self back to bed

No, He never called his muzik techno. PVD hates being labeled as a Trance DJ b/c there is a lot of cheesy trance being produced namely ATB. He says all his muzik is electronic w/elements of trance, prog house, techno, & break beats.

W/in the past few months, he has definately gotten harder & darker. He's playin less fluffy epic trance & more prog house. His latest remix of a techno choon Members of Mayday- 10 in 1 has phat ass break beatz.

Hmm....I agree....wow...thats new.

Personally, cd 2 of the Live at Casino, Berlin kicks my ass.

I think we all desperately wish he would play some of the sets he plays In Europe HERE.....its like he expects us Americans to not appreciate it or something.

And a little inside joke F*** you ______, PVD RAWKS smile.gif

few things...

1) pvd's last set at twilo was orgasmic.

2) He is getting breaks-ier if ANYTHING

His birthday set at casino and his latest Twilo set both started with this amazing song Movement which he didn't release yet, can't wait till he does. But its breaks at his best.

His thrillseekers mix of synthanaesia is almost flowery, if you will. definitely not harder!

of course when he plays a 7 hour set he is going to have a bit of time where he does play very hard mauro picotto ish kinda stuff and thats fine, twilo is good for that.

pvd is just amazing

if you think he train wrecks that's just fucked up, anyone who's dj'ed for more than a year doesn't train wreck

and what is better than an artist producing their own music from NOTHING and then playing it to 7000 ecstatic revellers at Twilo.

sasha & digweed are the shit, bedrock mixes are great, but they still play everyone elses shit...you know?

Only current problem with PVD... less than a day of recovery till saturday's DT and diggers co-debut.

Side note: The unappreciative aspect in going to PVD doesn't belong to the people who go to listen to him, but to the people who go to listen to him only because their friends are there.
