BUT

tryin to find a diet - tailored around .. mens body building...

not so interested in losing weight as much as getting cut - but wanting to maintain the weight he is currently at -- give or take 5-10lbs -..

i am thinking protein? but i do not know anything about the mens aspect of training - .. anyone have any websites/suggestions/personal diets? they can help me out w/

200000% off topic considering the geekdom that I speak here:

Depends on your body type (hardgainer/easygainer), but generally speaking, you'll need about 1 g of protein per lb of lean body mass (use total body mass if you don't know your bodyfat %), and enough carbohydrates to sustain growth. Note that excess carbohydrates are converted to fat. A good place to start might be the isocaloric diet (33% of daily calories coming from each of protein, fat, and carbohydrates). Avoid saturated fats. Weight gainer supplements are really fat gainer supplements and therefore trash. Make sure to get at least double the RDA for vitamins and minerals.
