Love Parade meetup plans?

It's coming soon... who's going to be in Berlin for the Love Parade?

Let's try to meet up! I hope we can do so before the actual event, because I'm sure that's going to mad crazy and it will be hard for us to find each other, especially if we haven't already met.

I'm arriving on Friday morning, and hope to get together with the leader of the LP club/list on Yahoo (and hopefully others) for a walking tour of the city during the day. That night, I'm hoping to hit either or both of the following: The Love from Above (featuring Paul van Dyk, Nick Warren, and others) at the Columbiahalle; and Tresor. If there's a really good party elsewhere, I'll be up for that.

I'm expecting all of Saturday to be taken up by the LP, and plan to go straight from there to the airport to fly home, with just a quick stop at the hotel to pick up my bags.

If you're going to be in Berlin and are interested in getting together, let me know, either here or by PM, and I'll give you my contact info.

unfortunately this will be one fo the worst parades yet...

so many dj's not doing it because it has got to the point of money influenced as opposed to music influenced.

oh well i'll be there anyway.

ths Zurich parade is teh 2nd biggest, and it was insane in '97

Here's a little email I got, in case anyone wants to meet more people:

Guten Tag and Greetings Everyone,

I have started to put together a mailing list of everyone here in our

group who wants to get together and meet in Berlin.

I have already added several names of people who have already emailed

me, made postings or left messages about wanting to get together.

I arrive in Berlin on July 5th and off to Vienna that weekend for

Loveparade in Austria, then back to Berlin on the 10th. Hopefully by

the afternoon of July 5th I will have a cell phone in Germany and

send out my Cell Number to those on mailing list wanting to get

together. I will also have laptop and the Internet Cafe is close to

my apartment so will be in daily contact with group and check my

email daily.

Several of people had also asked about possibly of getting together

and touring the City and area some before Loveparade and several had

mention they will be arriving in Berlin anywhere from July 15th to

July 18th to Tour and go to some of the Parties. I am open to any and

all ideas of places to go things to see and will have complete

listings of all the Clubs and Parties going on that week.

There is so much to see and do in and around Berlin so the more time

you are able to spend in the City the better. The ONE ABSOLUTE MUST

IS THE WALKING TOUR OF BERLIN, it takes about 6 hours and gives a

great overview of the City. In addition in the area are castles,

museums, parks and of course shopping.

EMAIL ADDRESS LETTING ME KNOW THAT YOU WANT TO BE ADDED TO THAT

MAILING LIST OF PEOPLE WANTING TO MEET IN BERLIN.

I will be sending out a separate mailing and posting here a short

questioneer to get ideas from you on what your wanting to see and do

in Berlin and also get suggestions or comments you may have.
