rocstedy Posted August 14 Report Share Posted August 14 Willard 'Tony' Draper64, paper company employeeKALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Funeral for Willard "Tony" Draper, 64, of Kalamazoo will be today at 3 p.m. at Rupert, Durham, Marshall and Gren Funeral Home with the Rev. John Vick officiating.Burial will be in Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.Mr. Draper died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at his home. He was born Dec. 23, 1934, in Lawrence County to Rube and Jewell Draper. He grew up in Hartselle and graduated from Morgan County High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hancock and lived in Hawaii for a short time before moving to Kalamazoo. He worked for Allied Paper Co. and was a member of the American Legion and First Free Will Baptist Church of Comestock. He was the widower of Caroline Draper.He is survived by one stepson, John Slater of Portage, Mich.; one brother, Tommy E.
