The overall goal of the Nightclub is to offer the highest social and musical standards, exquisite décor & ambiance with a variety of entertainment, A well trained and pleasant staff and a fantastic show at a reasonable price with absolutely no attitude are the qualities that will insure an enjoyable evening for everyone.

DJ's & Music

The nightclub will hire a team of primarily local Resident DJ's, that will not only cover specialty areas (like private parties, post concert dancing, dinner at PARALLEL, etc), but will also be charismatic enough to attract the crowds on their own, and produce THE SOUND that motivates people to dance at the appropriate times. In addition, many Guest DJ's, some of them being major stars will be the main attraction of the evening. These DJ performances shall take place after 1:00AM, and once concluded, the resident DJ takes over again and finishes the evening.

By around midnight, the energy increases progressively, passing by the CLASSIC CURRENT MIAMI SOUND, which is a relatively soft House and Garage, then moving up in speed, energy and intensity to a peak from around 2AM till 3:30AM. The nature of the music shall always be positive, optimistic, cool and relatively original (the MAYA concept: Most Advanced Yet Acceptable), not entering that much into Jungle, Drum 'n' Bass and Trance, and not regurgitating the now suburban "Zombie Nation" kind of sound. Considering that the Law demands people to leave the premises at 5AM sharp, it is expected from the DJ to slow it down by 4:45AM at the latest.

The goal of the nightclub is to present high quality music that can be enjoyed by all walks of life, but adhering to high artistic and aesthetic standards, not allowing easy crowd-pleasers to tarnish the musical concept and reputation of Billboard Live.

Alerig @ Opium is not too difficult to BS by...hehe

Anyway, not too sure on the door policy @ BB Live, but the opening weekend has Perry Farrell and DJ Alixa (?) on Friday, and legendary Jellybean Benitez on Saturday.

Perry sucks as a DJ...total bandwagoneer. Surprising he does it considering he's usually starting a lot of trends...

Benitez is another story. He's in the same class as Larry Levan and so forth...:)
