nycchic24
I returned to boston this weekend and went out to the clubs on saturday night. A little surprised that everything was still open since most of the clubs closed this weekend in nyc. Honestly I did not want go out, but it was my friends bday and didnt want to disappoint him. Shaking my head, they stopped the music at the club and sang the national anthem??? REALLY? and then they starting chanting USA. To tell you the truth, i think its the last thing they should have done. Encouraging that they outfitted the club patriotically in red white and blue and announcing dontions/benefits for the relief, but part of the reason i also decided to go out was to get my mind off everything from this past week. and i think others thought the same. dont get me wrong its great to say solidarity and spirit, but then to see later on the night a fight break out... guys that picked a fight with a couple guys of middle eastern descent was just disappointing and embarassing.
