all right, yo, halloween is my favorite holiday, and i don't fuck around. i go all out in a serious way. i've been growing my hair out to be my all hallow's eve alter ego and i'll be dyeing it red. soon i'll start practicing doing my hair in her 1966-days fashion till i get it downpat, and today i will begin my search for the perfect dress and boots. i'll also have to study her makeup...

but i've got TWO parties this year. my friend is throwing his annual halloween party the saturday before the 31st (which i've never been to due to logistics), complete with wacky porn stars and other personifactions of debauchery, and i'm going to see THE danny on the 31st!

SO, i figure that, now that it's finally october, i can post about how stoked i am! :spin2: anyone else going?

o, i always wondered how those work. they look opaque in person, but you can see through them; what's up with that? i don't really know anything about contacts in general; are contacts like the nasty ones that the guy from limp biskit wears bigger than normal ones? and how good are these for your eyes, anyway? do they have uv protection or do they not, because they're just meant for costume and special effects?

the idea of costume/makeup-wearing for halloween and partying/dancing is fundamentally flawed.

i mean, sure, i'd like to get out in drags as much as the next guy (:tongue: ), but you can't move in customes, not to mention your makeup will run when you're groovin' & sweatin'

If you find the right clothes and make up, it shouldn't be a problem. As for the contacts, I researched it and it's totally safe. THey're cheap too. I got them for $80. But the guy from Limp Bizkit wears custom made ones that cost around $500. His covers the entire eye while mine only cover my pupils. But I can wear them whenver I want without having any trouble seeing.

sir, i must wholeheartedly disagree with your first comment. ya just gotta know howta work it!

ok. here's how to go about it: if you're going to dress up as a particular person, your character has different outfits for different situations/occaisions/times of day, etc. so, just pick one that's danceable!

for instance, i'm going to be ann-margret (actress, dancer, vegas star, elvis's pal, sex kitten extraordinaire...). she spent most of her time in heels, even when she was dancing, but i'm more of a jumpy/ravey dancer, so that wouldn't work for me. my solution is to wear go-go boots, which she wore at one point in her career.

as for the makeup, you just have to know how to put it on, girlfriend :D ! (unless, of course, you're talking about that cheap stuff, 'cause that's you're own sweet fault ;) .) the water-soluble stuff they only sell around halloween in those little packages is crap, will run, and is only for amateurs, sweetie, so don't even go there! ;)

you have no excuse not to dress up on halloween. pick a costume in which you can dance (i'll even give you some choices: the easiest are famous humans, people you know, and abstract concepts - be creative on those, i know you can!)

i can't wait to hear who/what you're gonna be... :D
