Online Interview with DJ Sean Bauzay

Making his first appearance at Lumonics is DJ Sean Bauzay who recently won the DJ Competion at the Cooljunkies South Florida competion.

who are djs/music artist/groups that are your biggest influence?

influences in the electronic music field include Rabbit in the Moon, The Orb, The Chemical Brothers, Uberzone, and The Crystal Method. Originally inspired by breakbeat artists, I broadened my style into progressive house and trance thanks to world famous DJ's Sasha and John Digweed.

current and/or upcoming releases?

The first being under my former name, DJ meng, is called "Transcendental" and has received positive reviews. It is a progressive house and trance mix. You can read a review of this mix here: http://www.cooljunkie.com/albums.html. Recently I just released a CD under my birth name, Sean Bauzay. It's called "Disconnected" and it continues my exploration into the vibes of progressive trance and house.

Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd), Limelight (Rush), and No Quarter(Led Zeppelin)

what you are listening to in the car these days?

Ween's last album, White Pepper, Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles' Revolver and Rubber Soul, and the new Oysterhead CD called The Grand Pecking Order. Oysterhead is Les Claypool(Primus), Trey Anastasio(Phish), and Stewart Copeland(The Police). This CD is highly recommended!

when not spinning or listening to music, I will:
