do cost of drinks affect where you want to go?

Recommended Posts

in my poor ass case, yes, it entirely makes a difference. if there is open bar and no cover, i am there (like industry parties and wedding receptions). if there is cover, open bar can convince me. if there is no cover and reasonably priced drinks, then i'll go if i can see friends

i want to spend $6-7 per mixed drink, and $4 per domestic beer

i don't think mixed drinks in a regular bar should cost $8-9, unless i get an actual glass and the venue/event warrants a few extra bucks

ah...the good old days...stashing a bottle of brandy or cisco (aka liquid crack) under the seat and jugging before entering a club...researching the open bar or drink special nites before going out...

now it's just a pill and a bottle of water (refillable size) and we're set...

OR

it's the corporate amex for the night - u b surprised what counts as expenses when you're a consultant...

god bless america and all the drugs it contains...

mmm...lunch is right around the corner...
