teklord310 Posted December 4 Report Share Posted December 4 Yeah $150 is a little more down to earth. Just be careful, i've heard plenty of harassment stories, but it all depends on where you live. I know in NY(westchester) the law states that the front side windows have to be 70% or more.... which is basically clear. A few of my friends got pulled over in NY and both got tickets and had to show up at the police station or court a week later to show that the tint was removed. Good luck. I know Jersey laws regarding window tinting is not at tolerant as NY. brooklynkid Posted December 4 Report Share Posted December 4 Ahhh...one of the few joys of living in brooklyn. No car hassles from the police. They have real crime to deal with here. Limo tint all around! But yeah, DON'T pay more than $150, but DO have someone else do it. I did it for years and quit when car windows started getting really curvy. The only people who should do it themselves are a) those with the patience of a saint, those into self-mutilation, and c) lunatics.My favorite is when customers used to watch me, and as I fitted the tint first on the outside of the window before removing the backing and putting it on the inside, they would ask me "Shouldn't you be sticking it on the inside?". But they are VERY good AND they give you lifetime warranty...so if you got a crappy car or you are going to sell it soon - dont get it there.
