stigeleiro
Guys and gals. I would like to know everyones opinion on going out in NYC. As some of you know I currently manage all the promoters at World and it has been busy one week and not busy the next. I do not think it is the place as much as I think it is NYC nightlife in general. I am a firm believer that NJ makes any NYC party strong, numbers wise. What do people feel about partying in NYC since 9/11/01. I need honest opinions because I think right now it does not pay to put my efforts into a party in NYCThanks and have a happy holiday. Just my 2 cents............
unclebuc
9/11 was never really a concern of mine......NYC nightlife has been slowly declining for the past 6 years. Right now the only consistantly good parties are Vinyl Fridays and SF saturdays. I think the world has potential. if they keep on bringing in good dj's, the crowd will come. Just my 2 cents............ Didn't know that about AC, thanks for the info. I will work on that. About Miami, I got to disagree. That town has really gone to shit. The only parties that seem to succeed down there are the hip hop parties. There is one guy that owns 4 clubs down there that just went completely bankrupt. Even Level is feeling the pinch. The place that is making money is the area of Northern Miami where SPACE is and that is becuase of the 24 hour liquor license. But we all know what a shit hole area that is.But thanks again for the facts on AC. I am a big Vegas goer and hopefully one day AC is as hot as Vegas is now to party. It will save me the cost of a flight.

Raman
9/11 might have scared some people away but not me. But yeah like everyone said theres only a few good places to go now anyways. I have yet to find anything that beats vinyl fridays tho, until something does its my home. i want other places to pick up just so there is more space! Codica3
Ehh.. 9/11 sucked.. had a tragedy in my family..But if anything, it scared my parents more than it scared me to go back there for the club.. terrorists want to disrupt the normal way of life for their victims, I'm not letting them get what they want. I still go to NYC big and strong holding it up every week. :D
john_michael0494
I think the NYC scene is suffering a bit, not only from the terrible event that occured, but from a taste of monotony. A good portion of the promoters are afraid to take a chance on different types of music. Vinyl is amazing because is is constantly breaking new ground with fresh talent, UK or otherwise. Filter 14 has been rocking also for the same reason. Well IMO, anyway.***JM***
lunalounge46
i think 9/11 attacks made a big difference on people not going to the city, it doesn't stop me though, but i really do not like going to the city as much as i used to. the only clubs i go to in the city is SF, FLOAT, AND SACI. plus people are taking hits on the money they have made, people have lost jobs, economy is another reason why people aren't going to the city.(just an opinion but kind of factual.) its alot cheaper just to stay local right now for alot of people. people don't have the money to burn like they used to. this is all because of the 9/11 attacks. Sad But True.
