joeygk Posted January 4 Report Share Posted January 4 Last thursday I hit up Buzz@Nation in Wash DC to check out Sasha, Jimmy Van M, and Burridge. Nation is a great club w/ a killer sound system, cool people, and a great vibe. (Shroomy would love it b/c it has the highest ceilings I have ever seen in a club). The night started out w/ Jimmy and Lee tag teaming the decks for a few, keeping the beats heavy and funky. Not what I'm used to hearing from Burridge, but it provided a great warm-up for Sasha. Once the headliner took center stage, no one stopped dancing for 4 hours. He dropped the new Chemical Bros track Star Guitar for his first encore and i thought the room was going to explode.....so much energy.Danny Howells owns NYC Next stop- Vinyl & Danny for New Years! All I can say is- read Nolimits post on the NYE thread. Every word is true. Probably one of the best New Years I have ever had. None of Danny's mixes do him justice, when he's spins live.....it is f@%king incredible. I can't even describe his set- he was throwing down techy house, old skool favs, and a ton of beats I had never heard before! Everything about that night was stupid-sick.
