bigpoppanils
I may be in the market for a new desktop computer soon. Does anyone know how the Sony computers are?
acura
I heard they aren't that bad, and are supposed to be good graphics computers. But for the price i think you are better off getting a dell or gateway, then at least you get the three year warranty.
heretic909
I like my Sony Vaio desktop. It came with a lot of video editing software preinstalled on it, but I use it mainly for audio and web design.
berniec
They are OK- but they are alot more expensive for basicly nothing. I own a VAIO laptop and it's held up great for the last 3 years, but it cost around 3k when it was new. When I got my new job they gave me a dell Inspiron, cost about 1800 new, both identical machines, both traveled everywhere (well almost) with me for 3 years, and both still work fine. In my opinion, go for a Dell (stay away from Gateway, word on the street is they may not be in business for too much longer) and if you want to do video editing on it go get some video editing software from CompUSA (I use Pinicle's DV Studio Pro) for around $90, and save yourself about $1,500 over buying the VAIO...just my 2 cents
skeemr4
I would go Dell...but if u have a computer savvy friend, have them build it for ya....you save lotsa $$$$ and performance is up to your specifications.

Thats what I was going to say.....I built my own comp and saved a shitload of money on it. It's the best way to go if you know something about computers....
