HOLLY SHIT SOME OF THOSE DEFINITIONS ARE AWFUL!

And they are skipping over BREAKBEATS..

(Not Funky Breaks but "breaks"

in general as a dance floor genre)

What kind of a crappy electronica 101

sight is that!!!??

Ok..

I can't delete the thread so I'll just

have to borrow MISS BLISS for a second

and let her give you the PROPER

411 on BREAKS:

The broken beat has been around for a long long time. break beats is what influenced jungle (the Amen break, etc etc) and jungle was "hardcore" (which was breakbeat) before it became jungle.

Breaks, as far as the actual beat is concerned, comes in all shapes and sizes -- you've got a million genres of breaks (nu skool, florida, old school, electro, etc) you hear breakbeats in all kinds of modern music -- (from) pop (to) funk, etc.

wow. these are without a doubt the worst possible definitions i've ever seen. they have historical sensibility that ishkur didn't, but when it comes to actually describing the sound, they receive an F-.

and when will they get it right? ectasy is NOT a hallucinogen. it is an entactogen.

dammit.

That site had LFO listed as a electronic artist. That should say enough.
