cotoncandydream Posted February 20 Report Share Posted February 20 Feds rule in favor of non-drug rave paraphenalia The government has decided it’s okay for you to take masks, glow sticks and pacifiers to raves. The question is, do you still want to? Take your masks, pacifiers and glowsticks and trash ‘em: The US Gov (District Court) has decided they’re okay. Following an American Civil Liberties Union challenge to the federal ban on all rave paraphenalia as “drug paraphenalia,” Judge G. Thomas Porteous ruled that “there is no conclusive evidence that eliminating the banned items has reduced the amount of ecstasy use at raves.” The ACLU went into action against the Feds in August 2001 after the Drug Enforcement Agency threatened to shut down a New Orleans dance club if the club’s owners did not confiscate the items in question – a First Amendment violation! phuturephunk Posted February 20 Report Share Posted February 20 . . . . ya know . . there is something just inherantly cool . . in a post-modernistic / post-apocalyptic sorta way . . . about dancing with a gas mask on . . . Even if one isn't rolling it's still cool . . . . . . . The best, in my opinion are the white mask ones with the little canasters on either side of the mask . . .
