Wow, who knew. I can see how shutting down the substance forum made sense. Some of the conversation on that board got a little bit too in depth from a buyer/seller POV to be appropriate, not that I'm saying anyone was selling drugs through the board, but when you start talking street values and different geographic areas..not to mention legal standing of some 'friends' who have been busted up on trafficing charges...various law enforcement agencies are inevitably going to get involved. Same thing with talk of using and specific venues. Most other boards I've seen (especially the CP 'child' boards from former members) have a policy of not allowing talk of abuse in the context of specific nightlife venues that are still in operation. 'Cuz you gotta think that the posts can be subpoenad to build a case against specific members and that's no good. If you think that's not possible, think again. That's what I'm willing to bet happened, having read what dave wrote in response to the boards dissappearing. I bet he did keyword searches and found people talking about specific nights and specific places and the owners of said places would be none to pleased(as well as in a world of shit) had any legal action taken place. I'm just speculating though..either way, it was bound to happen and the mods of the substance abuse forum should have been a bit more strict in what could and could not be talked about. I don't blame them either though, who would have thought the axe would have come down so quickly. As far as the sex board is concerned, that one totally threw me for a loop. That was a great board (relatively) and even though the quality of posts went down the last couple years, it was still an at least moderately interesting read. All good things though.. oh well. It just sucks they didn't archive it for future reading.

6 for a hundred is a ripoff. They're selling excellent quality shit for 10 bucks a pop around most parts if you can find a straight up dealer. 20 a pop is normal if you aquire inside a venue (danger tax) but if you're paying that to the guy who you go to meet and who you have a reparte with, then you're getting taken to the cleaners. Also, it seems like most dealers now are being VERY careful to test their shit before selling it..probably because you can get charged with felony murder (I think murder 2) if one of the headbangers you give it to drops and kicks. Its odd. The initial love affair with E is over and the days of EDM in the mass consciousness has waned, but the street seems to be flooded with excellent quality shit at rock bottom prices...and that's fine by me. I love these E conversations. Sometimes it seems like there's maybe 2 people walking in the tristate area who can actually find good shit. Or so the little birdies have told me, not that I'd know first hand or anything

This is a very good point. I can't tell you how many people I know up here in the burbs that will run themselves and their kids to the doctor for meds at the slightest sign of a head cold. I was perscribed Levaquin for a lung infection a couple months back and not only did it shred my stomach to pieces, but I also got sick in December, and now in January (getting better as we speak). This is after refusing to take anti-biotics for at least 6 years. I'll never take them again unless my life is hanging in the balance. I normally only get sick once a year, if that. We overmedicate way to much in this society, I'm waiting for the next great plague to hit man because of some superbug..then maybe doctors will stop giving out these meds like candy for a simple cold. The plague is coming, and its gonna start in Long Island and Westchester.
