newsense
Native Theory and Newsense are proud to announce that Terry Casey will be playing the Pseudo Loft on Friday, March 15th. Also making an appearance that night will be Matthew Xavier. Most of you will know him as GruvHaus from Terry Francis' latest Fabric CD. Joining them on the decks will be Frankie Pep as well as Brendan Benke and Hisham Samawi. So mark you calendars as this party will have something for everyone... tech-house, breaks, house ... whatever ... let's just get down and dirty.TERRY CASEY:New York based founder / organizer of the successful juggernaut parties, and DJ for 13 years. Terry started DJ'ing in London in 1988. Hailing from London, the Summer of Love and Acid-House explosion caught his fancy. He began creating parties as well as DJ'ing. Terry's legendary for knowing how to work a crowd with his eclectic style of selection from many genres -- he'll remind you of classics while propelling you into the future. Terry moved to New York in 1992, and has since been a staple on the local scene from Liquids to loft parties. Terry vibes up packed dance floors at the infamous Sound Factory, Centro-fly, Studio 54, Cheetah, and Shine. He is also a recording artist, and performs under the name Blue Orbit (a dance music group), which is presently working on a album. Completion 2002.FRANKIE PEP:Frank W. Pepe III, a.k.a Frankie Pep, has always had a deep-rooted appreciation for music, of all kinds. Steaming back to the early 90s late 80s when electronic dance music was on the rise. Pep started DJing in 1990 because of his love for hip-hop, soul and urban dance music. Hip-hop & breaks was Frankie’s bag for the early years of his career. It wasn’t till 1995 that Frankie became passionate & dedicated to house music. Born & raised in New Jersey, Pep was only a 20min drive outside New York City. He would go to NYC any chance he got to keep up on the latest music & DJ trends. Also to check out the local parties & DJs to get a feel for how it was done. He then realized that he needed to be true & practice, practice, practice if he ever wanted to make a name for himself. Frankie Pep is now currently holding down two weekly residencies (Fridays @ Sin Sin. NYC & Saturdays @ Recess. NYC). He spins 6-hour sets, of everything ranging from down-tempo, breaks, techno, house and trance, to localites, partygoers, & lounge patrons. Pep also does monthly and bi-monthly appearances at some of the hottest clubs & parties in the city (Plexi @ Filter 14, Juggernaut @ Centro-Fly, Program: @ Leopard Lounge, Newsense, Native Theory, Bent & Pusswah). Plus a number a previous appearances around the city and New Jersey (The Tunnel. NYC, Cheetah. NYC, Centro-Fly. NYC, Joy. NYC, The Oeu Bar. NYC, Metronome. NYC, Rubber Monkey. NYC, Club XL. NJ, Destinos Lounge. NJ, Karma.
