storage space??

Recommended Posts

So my music collection is growing out of control and my hard drive can't handle it. What do you think would be the best upgrade to do to store it all. A larger hard drive, another hard drive, an external hard drive (usb) or one of those mp3 players that is an external hard drive... What do you guys use to hold it all? I want to put all my media in one place so archiving it on cd is not an option.

If you choose to install a new hard drive or buy another one...your gonna have to archive you collection on cd anyway...because if you try to move files from one drive to another...two reasons: One - it will take a hell of a long time and 2 - if you have a Windows Os higher than '98, when you move the files from one drive to another the original files still move to the other drive, but they will also stay on the original drive until you decide to delete them...so if I were you...I would spend the money on Data cd's and archive my drive...it's alot easier and will only take about a 2 days to complete the entire operation...I Hope this helped :D

i say u just delete songs.. or other programs that u dont use... do a disk cleanup... i think thats the best thing to do...

or

put together all your songs and stuff that u need in one folder... get a crossover cable... put ure stuff on another computer... format ure comp, install windows... then put ure files back on ure comp... if u r confused .. dont try this
