Fascinate

i came across this old joke today...thought i'd share.

The teacher wanted to make her students think about the use of words. She asked for volunteers to use the word fascinate in a sentence.

Angela raised her hand and said, "My parents took me to a museum and I was fascinated".

Very good Angela, but I wanted the word fascinate.

Beverly raised her hand and said, "We went to the Zoo and it was fascinating".

That's good too, but I still want just the word fascinate.

At this point ,little Johnny was waving his hand. Knowing how vulgar he could be, the teacher was hesitant to call upon him, but after some thought, she decided that there wasn't much damage he could do with this word, so she asked him to speak.

"My sister has a sweater with ten buttons, but her tits are so big she can only fasten eight."

Reminds me of daily radio bit in detroit called "Learning to spell with Darnel"

Darnel, in his getto accent would spell a word and then use it in a sentance.

Some of the ones I remember.

"OK boys and girls, todays word is Demeanor. D-E-M-E-A-N-O-R, demeanor. Now I'll use it in a sentance, My brother Darell is a nice guy, but the more he drink, demeanor he get."

"Since it is the opening day of deer season todays word is venison. I think Ill ask my son Louquatious to help me with this one - Louquatious, what is venison?"

"Oh dad, thats an easy one - venison Italy"

The funny thing is, I had several black friends who wouldn't listen to a song that the station played, but would tune in every morning for Darnel
