Paco Osuna Perez was born in Barcelona in 1974, and his passion for music started out when he was very young. At the tender age of 14 he was part of a regular crowd at Studio 54, where the most charismatic DJ, Raul Orellana, was spinning Acid House, marking Paco in the way of understanding DJing. In '94 Paco moved to Valencia where he had his first contact with the decks as a hobby. In '95 Paco made his first DJ set as a professional at the ACTV club, where he gained a year residency. After that, he started playing in many different clubs including Heaven and Universal. In the meanwhile he worked in a record shop, where he got access to a recording studio in which he produced three singles for the label Lucas Records. In '99 he got a residency at Amnesia in Ibiza. There he had the brilliant opportunity to be lined up with the biggest DJs and could learn the different styles, looking to build his own. Amnesia was also the place where Paco got in touch with the person who most influenced his future as much personally as professionally, Sven Väth, who soon discovered Paco to be very talented and introduced him in his Cocoon Booking agency. Paco was the first Spanish DJ to play for this prestigious agency. In 2001 Paco decided to migrate away from House music, moving closer to Techno. From then on his career has gotten better and better, leading him to the best clubs and festivals in the world. Being at home in both House and Techno, as well as in the fusion between them, Paco Osuna understands his sets as an "in-crescendo"-journey causing variations of tension that drive the dancefloor crazy. He began on the same circuit of Detroit parties and clubs most have traveled, eventually establishing residencies at Ann Arbor's Necto and Detroit's prominent after hours party spot, The Works. He also performed at both 2004's Movement festival as well as 2006's Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and has shared the decks with fellow Detroit DJ's Matthew Dear, Derek Plaslaiko and Ryan Elliott. In 2005, he was handpicked as a chosen replacement for the next batch of DJ's at Detroit's monthly "Untitled" parties, and in 2007, the up-start record label Mood Gadget. Since then he has gone on to be label manager for Subtrak, a true-to-its-roots techno venture slowly making waves amongst fans of Detroit, Minimal, and Dub techno. Since then he has moved to New York City, started his own monthly focusing specifically on the overlooked deeper side of the electronic spectrum, and has been a constant and in-demand fixture in the techno community. Tasteful yet mildly abrasive, his blend of minimal techno infused with dub sensibilities firmly entrenches his sound in Detroit's rich past while looking towards the future.
