I think a lot of bitchy people are on here to let off steam during the crappy part of the day that is called work. Me? I'm just an asshole. ------------------

I recommend parts of jersey. I go to school in Hoboken and am extremely close to everyhting. Via path I can get downtown or midtown for a buck. Bus to port authority is extremly quick. Rent is cheaper and parking is avail. Eh, jersey still sux ------------------

I listen to teh same music anytime and anywhere, clubs, home, car, etc. It's good music, so why shoulf I have to limit it to a certain enviroment? I'm not really a fan of the sound the guitar makes so it is difficult to move me with one. My gf is into old punk (firehose, husker du stuff, not of this rancid crap)and experimental noise so I get some exposure to that on a regular basis. SOmetimes we will just sit and listen to some random sine waves. Opie and ANthony also get my ear in the afternoons whne I'm in radio range (don't actually own a radio, not worth the space in my rack). ------------------

I have tkts, but I'll prob sell them. Last year wasn't that good. Overcrowding and sound bleeding isn't that much fun. Want a phat party? STARSCAPE! That is worht counting down the days to. ------------------

Listen to it? yeah, I've done that. My sister has the cd. Perhaps the reason why the songs don't sound dated to everyone is because he still plays them! If you pay attention to the actual mixes on the cd you will find that they aren't very long, 30 seconds for most of them. Oakey may be number 1 in the dj mag poll, but the poll is just a popularity contest. I'm not saying that those that rank high in the polls aren't good, but his popularity is a few notches ahead of his output. He used to be good, but he sorta cashed out. Bullet in the gun is a prime example of that. I heard him play last fall and havea few live sets of his and am not that impressed with his current style. Current I must say, cuz I see his current playlists. ------------------

S&D's first Northern exposure is prob my favorite. The west coast edition was hte first one I bought and holds special memories, but the north and south set are incredible. I'd still like to get my hands on Renaissance 1 and 2 and Diggers Journey by Djs cds Tranceport by oakey? It sounds very dated to me and the mixing is very minimal. The new sony cd player could automix it better. I'd like to check out oakey's oslo and goa mixes ------------------

I saw him play at Kind. Actually, I was more entertained by his set than anyone elses in the night. Woulda been fun to hear more than jsut an hour of it. Damn promoters, let the djs play! ------------------

Whitman doesn't need to do anything. Enough communities are taking a stand against parties that the media says are overflowing with drugs. There have been a number of busts in some of the nj clubs recently as well. Long live the house parties ------------------

Space Girl is a producer, not a dj. I don't care for her music much, too many drum rolls and cheap rhythms. Acid trance has better offerings than her. ------------------
