  2. frank wrote: howells blew...i love his NuBreed but he didn't impress me at all... made me yawn... he wasn't going anywhere his set...he only dropped three good tracks and that was it... all hype...yeah he sucked...bite me... Warren and Sander this friday. . . u call this a review??? how old are u again?
  3. Never heard the guy before. What does he play? What tracks did it for you? and if u think he's better than all of those djs u mentioned, good for u.
  4. all of you so called 'critics', get up there and do a better job. im assuming u guys handed in your demos for that twilo dj competition. u would shit your pants if you were up there...
  5. stick to your GC/limelight events. those are more suitable for your taste. what does me leaving early some nights have anything to do with this? don't worry frank, i got tong up your ass the next time i see you.
  6. agreed pooh, howells isn't for everyone. what did u guys expect him to progress to? something harder, faster, melodic, or trancey? what was that music he played from 4-6am?? I never heard so many inpatient cry babies last night. You know the deal, he doesn't play hard until 2 or 3 am. That's just the way it is. Fuck it, for you inpatient ones, don't worry, Twilo has something for you. How does Pete Tong 6 hour set sound? That's all you! I'll agree to some extent that his set wasn't as good as January but does he always have to out do his previous sets? It doesn't go that way... He did a great job and Im extremely F'ing grateful that we have him for a bi-monthly resident and plays 7 hours. U won't hear 7 hours anywhere else in the world. Example, next Saturday he is playing at Space. He's the opener and is playing a 2 hr set. Blah! im done...

  8. wish i could but i'll be in sunny south florida hold the fort down while im gone...
  9. mixmag> danny usually starts out very lush & minimal. sort of what his nubreed cd1 sounds like. around 230 am he steps it up a notch with some tech & funky progressive house. around 3:30 or 4 he blows it up hard with some sick techno. it's a journey through all of the genres of dance music. it's pretty wicked how he takes you on that ride. the mixing, programming, & track selection is class. certainly one of my favorite djs of all time.
  10. these are the signs that NYC is taking over the world when it comes to clubland. Finally!!!! Not even the mecca city of music London can boast a line-up like this. Twilo is taking it to the next fucking level
  11. Nice review there Dan... I popped in there for a bit with my partner. The opening dj was Phil Morrison. He runs the Twilo Rec. Label. It was an early night for me. Probably the earliest Ive ever been to bed on friday night which was 3am. That's not the case tonight. Danny 'The man" Howells graces the phazon and it's the dj, the music, & me for 6 hours.
  12. my dream line-up comes true! I can die a happy man now... FUCK YEAH!
