One of the world's leading electronic music artists Armin van Buuren comes to the historic McCarren Park Pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for a one-of-a kind live DJ music event on Friday, July 13th. This special ALL AGES event will bring together Armin van Buuren fans for a memorable open-air dance music extravaganza.
Armin van Buuren continues building his legacy in Brooklyn after last years successful two-day shows at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. This years event is being held at the McCarren Park Pool, a former 50,000 square foot pool that has been closed since 1984 but was reborn as a prime concert venue in 2006. This summer, NYCs premiere electronic dance music promotions company Made Event continues to deliver its world-class production values with the first DJ-only show at this critically acclaimed and unique outdoor concert venue.

Based on relentless demand, nightlife and entertainment aficionados Deryck Todd and Whitney Skyler present the summer 2007 installment of BowieBall: The Ultimate Glam Rock Revolution. Celebrating the ultimate in glam excess—an anything-goes extravaganza bringing together the best in the hottest music, art, and entertainment – BowieBall pays ultimate homage to the glam rock icon himself, David Bowie.
The event is set for Friday, June 15th at Don Hill's, known for it's nightlife legacy, features original music and Bowie covers from some of New York's (and the world's) most infamous entertainers including live, lip-sync and outrageous burlesque performances. DJ sets featuring music legends Warren Spooner & Jon Kane (Fischerspooner), Michael T. (Motherfucker/Rated X), BP Fallon (T.Rex/Led Zeppelin) and DJ Sandra (MisShapes/GBH), spinning exclusive Bowie remixes all night long.
Bowie's best will be covered in live & lip-synced form by Semi Precious Weapons featuring Steve Conte (New York Dolls) & Tony Visconti (Bowie/T.Rex/Morrissey), Keanan Duffty (Slinky Vagabond), Peppermint Gummybear, Michael Formika Jones, and other special guests throughout the night, including Twig the Wonderkid (Glamdammit/Trash), Maripol, Fancy Nancy & Patrick McDonald. And to boot, our bevy of burlesque beauties include the buxomly temptress Angie Pontani, Amber Ray and fiery redhead Ginger Fringe.
Also featured is Glenn Marla, Miss Lower East Side 2006 with a plethora of glamtastic go-go dancers, gratis glam makeup makeovers, lightening bolt cookies, an attention-grabbing costume contest with surprise celebutant guest judges, winning prizes include Xanadu tickets & photo shoot with the next David LaChapelle, famed photographer Justin Hyte. With enough glitter and decadently sweet surprises to properly worship the living God of club kids, BowieBall is heralded as the next "it" affair by thrill seekers across the party gambit. Last time, Mick Rock, Dita Von Teese and Patricia Arquette showed – who's next?

There are few, if any electronic dance-rock bands that have pushed the boundaries and rocked as viciously as The Prodigy has. A member of the band for 10 years, Leeroy Thornhill has spent that time perfecting his own sound as an accomplished DJ. Heavy on the electro edge and full of funk, Leeroy has rocked dancefloors from Ibiza to Singapore where he headlined the massive 10,000+ New Years Eve event for Centro 360.
In the studio, Leeroy has remixed international talent including David Gray, Moby, Dr Doom (KoolKeith) and Flint. With his own band Flightcrank releasing their first album in March 2001, his own productions have gotten mixed by the likes of Maxim, Adamski, Lee Scratch Perry, Mad Professor and Genaside 2. Unafraid to court controversy and shake things up both musically and socially, The Prodigy have traveled the world with their incendiary performances – always in their own formidable way. Kandyland is the ultimate sight and sound experience. Think Willy Wonka meets Alice in Wonderland. Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion will be completely transformed into several sexy environments with extreme lighting effects, florals, huge mushrooms, enormous lollipops, giant Kandies, hearts, cool fuzzy cotton Kandy textures, Kandy cane poles for Kandy Dancers, chocolate bars, skittles, M&Ms, toys, surprises and much much more. Kandyland will have sexy treats, cellophane (see through) wrapped girls passing out candy drinks. There will be desserts, chocolate fountains, painted ladies, cyber girls, girls swimming on the Kandy islands in the pools, sexy treats, DJs spinning, entertainment and more personality than ever before.
