  2. You weren't seeing things, kiddies. Yup, it's your dog Dee. The one-man art department. Anyway, what you saw was a preview of one of the many new logo ideas were tossin' around in the office. We put it up to see how it looked. I think it looked damn good. But we went back to the old one for now until we finalize what we are gonna do. To all who were making airline references and stuff...THANKS! Stay tuned to your local top-left-corner-of-da-homepage for further changes to fuck w/ your heads. ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (The guy that makes all the funky graphics. 3. AT&T ain't bad. I was in the 1/9 subway station on 93rd the other day and my phoen rang and I got like 10 seconds worth of a convo. It was funny. ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (The guy that makes all the funky graphics. Shout out to Swerve Griffin & Parish.)
  4. Simple question: When you're at the spot and you want to dance with somoene (guy or girl)...what do you do? Come up behind him/her and grind? Grab her hand and pull him/her towards you? Ask her politely if she wants to dance? Do the Roxbury skit with a friend of yours? ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (The guy that makes all the funky graphics. Shout out to Swerve Griffin & Parish.)
  5. I don't think Mr. 'guzman' gets it. I do not listen to alot of house myself. But I REALLY like this Back to Mine CD. My boy Parish put me on to it. If you know anything about that series, it was not meant to be a traditional Danny Tenaglia non-stop set like he does in the clubs. It is a selection of some of his favrotie songs, no matter what genre of music. If you find the Groove Armada CD from that series, they have a Tribe Called Quest remix on there. Keep an open mind. ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (The guy that makes all the funky graphics. Shout out to Swerve Griffin & Parish.)
  6. If you could name the three most important things that makes you pick what party you go to on a given night, what would they be (#1 being the most important)? For me: 1) The DJ(s) 2) Girl to guy ratio (more women!) 3) Type of crowd OK, your turn. ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (The guy that makes all the funky graphics. Shout out to Swerve Griffin & Parish.)
  7. Damn, I thought ya'll were talking about me for a second. I felt all special and shit! and I don't even post here that often. Peace to the OTHER Dee. ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (The guy that makes all the funky graphics. Shout out to Swerve Griffin & Parish.)
  8. It *WAS* Def Comedy Jam. They need to bring that back. But currently, Taxicab Confessions is kinda hot. It's not a REGULAR series, but I always catch it when it comes on. ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (I'm one of the guys that makes all the cute little story graphics. 9. This post goes out to all the people that are going the "el cheapo" route on December 31st this year and just kickin' it with friends at someone's house watching the ball drop on MTV and getting drunk and blasting the stereo all night and grabbing some chick and getting busy in the darkened laundry room. That's the REALNESS. ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (I'm one of the guys that makes all the cute little story graphics. Shout out to Swerve Griffin & Parish.)
  10. Nice! Let me just say...whoever you are...that you made everyone laugh here in the office and we are all curious as to who you are. You know ME for Christ-sake and I hardly ever post on the boards! Keep the laughs coming! ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (I'm one of the guys that makes all the cute little story graphics. 11. Even though I haven't went, my friend has called me like every Thursday for the past month trying to get me to this club called Chelsea Street. It's off Hempstead Turnpike. Unfortunately, it is not in our database. You may want to try and dial 411 for that. ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (I'm one of the guys that makes all the cute little story graphics. 14. Hey ya'll. I don't get on this board as much as I should. But I got some extra time now so I'll reach out. What do you guys think of our weekly cover stories that we put up? Today we launched Urban Couture, a fashion story. Anyone have ideas or anything? ------------------ .:D_Johnson:. derreck@clubplanet.com nightlifestyle (I'm one of the guys that makes all the cute little story graphics. 16. Whattup everybody? Derreck here. One of the few clubplanet employees that doesn't post as much as he should. Whatever. Sue me. Here is a pick that didn't make the weekend picks 2day. Check it out: ------ SUNDAY Network @ Fun 132 Madison Street 10pm - 4am DJs Max Glazer and Mihoko on the 1's and 2's. Special performance by Sadat X of Brand Nubian. ------ I may be there. Anyone else? ------------------ ._Johnson:. clubplanet.com [night.life.style]
  17. Whattup everybody. D. here from you and your grandmother's favorite website ever, clubplanet.com. This is just a real quick feedback post to see what you guys think. Have you guys been checking out the clubplanet Weekend Picks that we put up every Friday? We've been doing it for about a month now. Do you actually take any of our recommendations? How was your night? Are you considered a superstar in your suburb because you followed clubplanet advice? Let us know. ------------------ ._Johnson:. clubplanet.com [night.life.style]
  18. Honestly, if you want house, hip-hop and a good amount of the female persuasion, check out Cream. I went on a Friday...which I heard was not the best night anyway. Saturdays looks like the better night. ------------------ ._Johnson:. clubplanet.com [night.life.style]
  19. I am more hip-hop oriented. If you are looking for that sort of stuff, Fat Beats is on the corner of 6th Ave & West 8th Street. Right next door and above Gray's Papaya. They also carry old school tracks, videos and breakbeat vinyl. ------------------ ._Johnson:. clubplanet.com [night.life.style]
  20. Can we get a women/man ratio for the benefit of those who weren't there please? ------------------ ._Johnson:. clubplanet.com [night.life.style]
  21. I asked this once before but it was over a month ago. Does anyone know of any after parties for the Puerto Rican Day Parade this Sunday? Or is that not your people's style? ------------------ ._Johnson:. clubplanet.com [night.life.style]
  22. For those that don't know, the Puerto Rican Day Parade is Sunday, June 11th. I am sure there will be a number of crazy parties going on that same day and we at ClubPlanet will do our best to let you know of all the happenings. I'll be there...will YOU?! D.
