I've heard both spin countless nights and you cannot compare Junior Vasquez to Denny Tsettos for Junior is at a level which Denny's strives to reach. I personally don't think Denny sucks as a dj.. very talented man....but unfortunately the ratio of people who actually give a shit about music and are there just to get fucked up vs. people who are really inspired by his setlist.....at any denny party...l o w. As twisted of a following Junior has...at least it's a following....Denny?...just as there will always be another clubkid to replace you..there will always be another guido and bimbet couple to replace those that leave denny.

As for the attitude, tempKID.. either lighten up on your cycles or take a pill count because the aggression you project has that Pee Wee's Playhouse kind of vibe to it.

Another queer to get into it with,

  3. Shut the fuck up please!!! I swear I hate you people who act all holier then thou just cause you were someplace first or heard someone/thing first.

---------------**not acting holier than anyone....try educated.

Are people not allowed to grow up and mature musically? Not allowed to enjoy new things just cause at first they didn't? Not everyone can be as musically educated as you!

----------------**frontrunners honey frontrunners who would dis the shit out of both of these dj's 2 years ago and now decide to come to a party infect it w/ their MESS and have the audacity to bitch and complain later when the club closes down or it "isn't the same" anymore

Sucks to grow older doesn't it? Sucks when a younger crowd moves in! New people enter the scene every day, welcome them! I've been going to clubs for about 10 years now, I've tried to grow w/the times, you should try it!

--------------***10 years eh?..then it surprises me that you aren't sharp enough to realize that this trend of shutting the clubs down FOR GOOD is quite new.... and anyone who has been around will vouch.. it has NEVER been this sloppy and it has nothing to do w/ NEW people..it has to do with STUPID people. Kids weren't doing ecstasy in middle school ten years ago .... why don't you look a little further than 5am in a manhattan warehouse.

--------------*we were ALL new once.. but i do recall even when Dtour closed at tunnel and vinyl started..NEW VERY VERY NEW people came in.. did it kill the party .NOPE. I even recall the first time i had gone to twilo, tunnel, factory.. i was "new" but i had enough common sense not to piss on someone else's carpet just because it wasn't my own GET IT? I never claimed to be an angel but one thing i have and will continue to be is respectful to WHATEVER party i frequent. I suggest you do the same... 10 years now?..hmm ya wanna call me old? We've all done our share of silliness but there is no need to get sloppy. Your argument is weak. Act like a lady not like the crackwhore bitches whose implants i should have popped w/ my lit cigarette back in april when their needled up boyfriends spit them onto the dancefloor of vinyl.

Your not cool cause you knew about something first, your LUCKY! Stop acting all high & mightly just cause your older and got to experience something first.

-------------*-Keep digging your own grave ...and be the first to attend vinyl's funeral since you've so cleverly dug its plot right beside twilo and tunnel. I cordially invite you to go fuck yourself cause it's obvious you're halfway there.

  4. ahhhh don't forget...

never had a problem w/ glowsticks, GHB, fights...or people asking WHAT'S TOURISM? such frontrunners. 3 years ago if i would have played danny and lula's "read my lips" i would have been spit on by that factory crowd......FRONTfuckingRUNNERS.

    I REST MY CASE.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.............especially when I have to convince someone that "Read My Lips" is NOT a new track....................Before anyone feeds me the bullshit "this is club evolution get over it" step back......... more like club pollution.

I remember being in vinyl when the "be yourself" vibe was born.. the crowd was enveloped by the man in the booth, the voice of celeda on the mic that night in feb 99, the magic coming from the speakers, and the energy pouring out of their souls...when it was NOT AT ALL ABOUT....the "be yourself" boxer shorts...the "i love danny" t shirts.... the guidos and bimbets and friday night pre-partying 46th street /we all know which PROMOTER to blame for that one /MESSES that have infected the party... .i could go on and on........... but i think a very wise queen said it, no read it, no said it, fuck it..ya'll are gettin' READ.... READ IT best when she said...

"as much as i love a lot of those kids ... i love them most in SF. anywhere else, they're like a virus, they take over and reformat in their image then complain a party sucks."

and no this does not apply to everyone......but it certainly does apply to some. the old regulars saw it coming...and if danny ever wonders why we won't go back...... don't kid yourself anymore dt.. "somehow it just don't feel the same.. the way it was in the better days... there was a feeling.................." people can only endure so much.. "go for the music go for the music" pretty fucking hard when you have vinny badaboom on juice and his bumps on a stick girlfriend all up in your business looking for K.

I was there from about 10:10 this morning until about 1/2 hour ago, just got in to work. There is an incredibly vocal minority in the Limelight neighborhood, vowing that the Limelight venue is "only the beginning."

While I did not get to speak at the hearing, I did get to listen to many persons against, and a few for, what ought to be, essentially, a non-issue. The issue at the hearing today was to consider the 500' law, meaning that any establishment seeking an on-site liquor license must prove it will exist in the public interest if it stands within 500' (or less) of 3 other licensed establishments.

Those in support were quiet and well mannered during the proceedings, while those in opposition of Limelight, and Mr. Blair personally, were wont to laughing loudly and hissing at points made by the attorneys for the applicant. Further, as they made their empassioned pleas to be saved from the wretched refuse that makes up the clubbing population, repeated derisive reference was made to "hip-hop parties," Justin's, and occurrences that happened 6 or more years ago at Limelight and Vertigo. To my perception, this was nothing more than thinly veiled racism, repeating over and over how the hip-hop parties "and all of these drunk gun-wielding crazies" roaming the streets threatened the tranquility and sanctity of their urban kingdoms.

It was then implied by one dissenting individual that if John Blair wants to turn Limelight into a gay-oriented venue, well, by god, the gays have XL and Heaven, and Splash all nearby, isn't that enough? And why don't they all go party in their own neighborhood?!? (**NOT HIS ACTUAL WORDS**) I did manage to stifle a coughing fit at this one, considering Limelight is in the heart of Chelsea, the gay center of New York City!

After the 9th of 4 dissenting testimonies, the judge FINALLY called a halt to that farce and allowed 5 persons to speak on behalf of John Blair and the Limelight. While only the last person touched on any terribly relevant points, 3 of them were eloquent and represented themselves and the nightlife cause well.

With all of the slamming of Limelight all around, the Blair camp ensuring that Gatien's presence is exorcised and the dissent saying one is as bad as the next, I was reminded of a common expression in my field; past performance is not indicative of future results. Let Blair's record stand, not Limelight's. He has shown himself to be reasonable, responsible, and profitable as owner of XL, an interested party in Roxy, owner of John Blair's Restaurant, a success with his health clubs... why not afford him the opportunity to prove yet again how, under his management, a local venue can indeed be in the public interest, even when the vocal minority need to be convinced of it.

All in all, it was (for me) a very costly day of sitting around, but I'd not have rather spent it anywhere else.

  7. I saw it last night in phili....here's my review......

I'm a huge fan so i won't spoil the show for anybody, i'll just offer my opinion. I had seen Blond Ambition 11 years ago and if you're expecting Madonna's Immaculate Collection live...you will be very disappointed..

Drowned World doesn't have much of the "pop" energy that fueled the Blond Ambition Tour........but it's the best show she's done..it really shows her to be an "artist" not only visually, but theatrically,..and the bitch rocks that guitar..........NO.NONE.NADA.ZERO prerecorded vocals. As much as i love madonna...I will be the first to admit that her voice live tends to have that winded growl to it...but last night? best i've ever heard.... and u can walk away from the show saying.."I HEARD madonna live and SAW her show." She showed herself to be an artist in every sense of the word.

And she may not be grabbing her crotch to be bad....but she is.. it's a very dark show (i won't say why.. pay attention to imagery on the screens) the geisha section is amazing.

I won't discuss anything that i didn't like until everyone has had a chance to see the show in new york.... Go into it w/ an open mind..and opened eyes.

  9. thanx for nothing clubnyc lol.. here are the lyrics...... because i can dream for us all smile.gif

    Time marches on neverending,

    Time keeps its own time.

    Here we stand at beginning,

And end goes passing us by.

    And I, I, I can't dream for us all.

    I hope I'm in a better state,

When here and now crumbles and falls.

And you, you... you make worlds collide.

I knew you'd come knocking one day,

Unannounced like a thief in the night.

Where do we go from here?

    Time ain't nothing but time.

I now have no fear of my fears,

And no more tears to cry.

    Tomorrow, tomorrow...

    Tomorrow means nothing at all,

If we don't hear the line,

    When today places his call.

    And morning, morning...

Morning won't ever be the same.

Now I won't make the same mistake,

    Time and time again.

    Time and time again.

    Time and time again.

    Time and time again.

    Time and time again.

So tell me how do you do?

    Finally, I meet you.

You don't know what I've been through,

    Waiting and wondering about you.

I had a dream my trip would end up at you,

    And now I know paradise.

    Time marches on neverending,

    Time keeps its own time.

    Here we stand at beginning,

And end goes passing us by.

    And I, I... I can't dream for us all.

    I hope I'm in a better state,

When here ad now crumbles and falls.

Oh you..oh you, you make worlds collide.

I knew you'd come knocking one day,

Unannounced like a thief in the night.

So tell me how do you do?

    Finally I meet you.

You don't know what I've been through,

    Waiting and wondering about you.

I had a dream my trip would end up at you,
