I hate to spoil anyone's party, but...the "new" 54 has been completely remodeled for the show. It looks just like the former venue for Cabaret, the Kit Kat Klub, only bigger. There is no way the new promoters can capture the former glory of 54. Ahhh...I remember the good ol' days of Twilo Fridays when the crowd was predominatly gay, everyone was creativly dressed, and Junior had not yet descended (yes, I know Jr spins on Sat, but that'sa not my point). I personally cannot go there anymore, because if I see one more halter-top-and-black-skirt-bimbo-with-guido-man-on-coke combo, I may have to get violent. Ummm, no offense to you, but don't you think that your response about lefist liberals is a typical ignorant generalization as well? Abortion must be kept legal only for the fact that this country would be so much more totalitarian & patriarcal if it were not. Whether or not a woman choses to have one is her own choice, and that's the final word. In order for a democracy to work, we must accept views that we personally do not agree with. This kind of government "safe guarding" has been going on since before the prohibition. I'm suprized it took those oh-so-hip govt. officials this long to discover the latest menance to the youth culture that is E. As long as young people are enjoying themselves chemically, there will be enforcement.
