  1. Dude it's people like you I want coming to my place. I'm glad you see the light. Well my fingers are crossed. As I stressed making money is a good thing, but enjoying how we make the money has to be a key thing. We are in the early stages of this and our wheels are spinning. We have an opportunity, and we want to do it right. As for you - If and when we open and you'll know. Come to Jersey I got you covered for the VIP treatment, for AfterHours or no AfterHours. See you in Clubland.
  2. Let me start by saying thanks to everyone. With this type of response and the responses after this, it's gonna help us to see which angle we can hit this at. Some of you are friends and most I don't know. When the time comes we will advertise and post on ClubNYC too. I'm saving the names of everyone who replies for if and when we open for personal invites for Grand Opening party. My e-mail address will be posted at later date. Keep the feedback coming it helps. PS - My one partener hit the board and he has seen the responses. He thinks it's great to see different views from everyone. Especially he's fom NYC.
  3. Reply to your Reply Let me start by introducing myself - Of course my name is Chris. I've been working at some clubs in North Jersey (Morris,Essex,Passaic counties)for about 12 years. I've done some remixing on RuffTrack Records in the mid 90's. My format of Music is Progressive house - Hard House - and Trance. I know people in the NYC scene from architechts, promoters, DJ's, and music industry. My partners and I are twisted - we want to do after hours, but will it work in Jersey, can I handle it or do I look outside of my rhealm for other DJ's. I came to Clubnyc cause there is always good/bad feedback here. Thanks for your reply. See you in a club someday. CC
  4. Ukrainian women are beautiful - I was there 2 months ago. WOW. But couldn't wait to get back to NYC. The Tri State area has the best woman in the world.
  5. WOW - Keep the replies coming - The owner of the place we are getting involved with has a liqour license and we are working with the owner on it. He can/will be a silent partner. NJ State Law and Town oridance with a liqour license forbids you to stay open past 2:00am in this town - without the license you can stay open until whenever - However it cannot be a nuisance. Considering it is a commercial piece of property with no houses around it won't be a nuisance. Liqour License you can make good money. No Liqour License you can make good money if it's done right. At this time I do not want to disclose any info on where it is just in case. I will tell you one thing, I have been in the club scene for about 12 years, and my one partner about 17 years. Our other partner is one of NYC's biggest Architects. and we are way over due to do something for the Clubgoers. It's not going to be about Money - Money - Money. We seriously at the same time want to enjoy ourselves and our cutomers. That's why I came to the board to see what you guys/gals think. Thanks - Chris PS - Tempkid you might know who I am. 6. We need to get some opinions and/or suggestions - Not Drama - I'm working on opening a place in North Jersey. If I go with a liqour license I will not do After Hours. If I don't go with the license I will do after hours. I'm just trying to see what people might think of the idea. Myself and my 2 partners already have a lease and are in the works. We just want to if it would be worth it. Opening should be around October.
  7. It must have been the party that sucked. Any club you goto get's hot. Exit has 200 tons of AC to cool that place and it's the middle of summer. I remember the Tunnel and the heat problem they have no AC at the Tunnel just Swamp Coolers and Fans. I'm stuck between - I like Exit as a place but like JP at SF for the music.
  8. Don't sell out keep the 1210's or modify your 1200's - The other guy is right - Vestax makes a good mixer.
  9. Clubkid - Pretty cool. You need State Variancing papers for a laser over 4.95mw. Exit's light show however is a very exspenive light show. Mainly HES Intellabeams, Studio Washes, AF1000 Data Flashes. I would say Exit could through in some more rotating heads and use the laser more often. Peace.
  10. Your Mother. This weekend Fireworks on the lake after Dev goes home.
  11. Dave spent alot of money to open/build Exit. He worked hard and laid out the money to do it. Every club owner has a tendency to be a little greedy with money, remember if Rudy G's posse comes knocking on the door - the owner pay's the fines, lawywers, and the bills. Look what happened to Gatien. Rich from SF was going to renovate, but didn't because of money. If a club owner jacks you for money leave and bring your crowd elsewhere.
  12. Those store's are good, for Jersey, Mondo Music is real good. That's for Jersey.
  13. Was anyone there. Peter's was incredible considering he had to lower the music. Eddie sounded fucking great at Salvation. I never was into Eddie, but he definitley was off the hook in SB. He never sounded like that at Exit. Peter's never an issue. ------------------
