I'm not saying Temps sucks or the nights they have aren't good. As a matter of fact I was one of the DJs that started the Sunday night there before Denny took over. When I started they were doing 100 people and when I left they were doing 800-900. I played a mix of what I wanted and what the people knew,so don't tell me what is going to work and what's not going to work. Anyway, as for your comment "The crack heads at twilo get soooo cracked out that anything sounds good to them" you can say the same thing about the people that go to Temps and XS. I played for these people for three and a half years and the drug use was just as bad as Friday @ Twilo. Everyone has their own taste and opinion and I don't expect everyone to like what I like. I was just telling you that I heard them play (and they played all their own shit) and the energy was through the roof. So for you to say they suck is your opinion but, the bottom line is they sell a ton of records and probably deserved the award they were given.
Tempkid, I haven't been playing much. I played Cheetah with Richie Rydell last Saturday and had a great time. You are right I did have to play some commercial stuff and that's another reason I'm not playing down there this year. I wasn't having fun playing that stuff,it's really not what I'm about. I spend my time in the studio and have some things in the works.

That is the funniest thing I've ever read on this board! So I guess you were @ Twilo when they were promoting the first album. I didn't think so. They blew the place apart and played all Basement Jaxx records the energy was insane. As far as them being new kids on the block they were making hit records while you were still in high school. Everyone feels energy in different way especially in music.

Most of these people will only know Fly life and they won't know anything about Lil Louie Vega. It's a lost cause. Jav let me know if your going I've been meaning to hit the B&S party, but I've had no time. From what I understand my boy gave something I did to Danny Krivit and he has been playing it.

By the way...got the DJ Vibe...LOVE IT!!! Definitely like the first CD more, although the second one has a couple tracks off DT's GU17, but it gets very disco-ey after the first few songs. I've been having major vinyl withdrawl!!

Unbelievable! The drama never ends on this board. What does Metro being part of a hotel have to do with anything? In reply to the first post Metro has a strong Friday night. They are very crowded and they have a talented DJ. The crowd is your typical crowd.
